Prior to establishing a private practice in 2008, Dr. Leavitt, a Detroit, Michigan, native, worked with a primary care medical group in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent time treating patients in Brentwood, Franklin, Nashville, and Hendersonville, TN. Dr. Leavitt's practice quickly grew in all locations; he decided it best to focus his practice in one location, where patients could always see him. This is what prompted him to establish Leavitt Family Medicine. Dr. Leavitt completed his family medicine residency at Michigan State University, in Saginaw, Michigan. where he served as Chief Resident and won awards for clinical research and compassionate medical care.
Dr. Leavitt is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and by the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has admitting privileges at Hendersonville Medical Center, where he has served as Chief of Family Medicine.
His medical interests include hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, prevention and wellness, among many others.
Dr. Leavitt contributes his expertise as team physician for numerous sports teams and is an in-demand speaker at community events and meetings.

When I came here, I was surprised at how friendly his office staff was, then I met Dr. Leavitt and just loved him. His mannerisms are like the old time doctors use to be. You don't see that anymore. I'm looking forward to my next appointment.

I was treated so well by Dr. Leavitt and his staff. I had been to three other doctors before and none had helped me, then a friend recommended Dr. Leavitt. When I explained my symptoms to him, he knew exactly what it was. I am so thankful for Dr. Leavitt.

I got sick with flu symptoms early one morning, the doctor I had been seeing for two years didn't have an appt. open for five days so I called my aunt's doctor, Dr. Paul Leavitt. I explained my symptoms and they didn't have an opening but told me to come on in and they would work me in. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. Dr. Leavitt is my doctor now! I love him and his whole staff!
