Dr. Ledesma was raised in Southeast Georgia near Savannah. From there, he received his undergraduate degree at Georgia Southern University and worked as physical therapy technician for 3 years. While working for this therapy group, he also received special training as a certified aquatic therapist. After graduating cum laude from GSU, he went on to earn his doctorate in podiatric medicine degree (DPM) as well as his Masters of Biomedical Sciences at Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences in Miami Shores, Florida. He was then accepted and completed a 3 year surgical residency at Harvard affiliated Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge Massachusetts. Here he obtained advanced surgical training in the areas of adult and pediatric flatfoot reconstruction, diabetic charcot and limb salvage, and external fixation. Following graduation, he began working in private practice just outside of Boston focusing on surgical reconstruction, sports medicine, and related injuries. He has served on the Consumer Education Committee for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and worked closely with residents as an attending surgeon at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Worcester Massachusetts.
In November of 2009, Dr. Ledesma and his wife decided to relocate to Arizona to be closer to family and escape the harsh New England winters. Shortly after arriving to Arizona, he became an adjunct faculty at the school of podiatry at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, mentoring students in a clinical setting.
Dr. Ledesma has also received specialty training in peripheral nerve surgery, minimally invasive procedures, and has extensive knowledge and experience with cutting edge technology such as laser therapy.

I have now had 3 appointments with Dr. Ledesma, and my experience has been excellent. His office runs very efficiently, with very short wait times (less than 10 minutes for all 3 visits). And in an age when most doctors zoom in and out of the examining room in just a few minutes, Dr. Ledesma has taken a great deal of time to accurately diagnose my issues and offer thoughtful options and solutions. It is very apparent that he cares a great deal about his patients and will not sacrifice quality care by rushing any of his appointments. He spends whatever time is necessary to do what is in his patients' best interest. I highly recommend Dr. Ledesma.

Paul was very friendly, thorough in his analysis, and took the time to explain everything that could be affecting my foot pain. The wait time was longer than I expected, but the staff was very friendly at the front desk (offering bottled water and asking if there was anything else I needed while waiting). I recommend this practice.
