I have only ever been to one Chiropractor in my life and this was our family Doctor back home. Given this, I was apprehensive to even try attempt finding someone here in NY but the pain in my back (likely caused by a combination of over-ambitious yoga poses and continuing even when i shouldn't have) was really taking a toll on my work and life in general.
Dr. Nissman was able to immediately find the root cause of the issues i was having and after just one appointment my situation improved remarkably. From then on I definitely became a fan and am relieved that I now have somewhere I can go regularly to keep things in check. If you like doctors who tell you a lot of nice stories, are vague about their treatments and tell you that you need to buy a whole bunch of stuff to feel better (aka to pay for the fancy office), Dr. Nissman is probably not the right Doctor for you. However, if you're looking for a Doctor who is focused on finding a solution to the problem, gets to the point and actually cares about your progress, I would highly highly recommend that you give Dr. Nissman a call.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nissman's for a number of years now and he always helps me feel better. I appreciate that he treats the body as a whole, not just specific body parts or areas, and am always amazed at how he zeroes right in on what the problem is. Over the years I've seen many chiropractors and Dr. Nissman's treatment is the best by far. It's also a great help to me that he offers Saturday hours.

Dr. Paul Nissman has been in practice for 25 years in both Los Angeles and New York. He received his B.A. from Washington University, St. Louis and his doctorate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Extensive post-doctoral studies include; craniopathy, homeopathy, trad.Chin.med., and advanced applications of applied kinesiology.
He is an avid student of the Eastern healing and martial arts which infuse his philosophy and work. A natural teacher, he created the "Yogachi" and "Powerline" workshops which are his integration of over 30 years experience in the health and movement arts.
A former actor and modern dancer, Dr. Nissman has worked with all kinds of patients; from Broadway dancers, pop stars, Olympic athletes, champion kick- boxers to circus performers and new -born babies.

Dr. Nissman has been my chiropractor for about 20 years. During this time he has helped me through a number of physical crises. He is a very caring, gentle and extremely competent doctor. I would never choose to go to anyone else.
