My husbands visit was short and brief and not much time was spent discussing his condition because it's a reoccurring cyst like growth on a finger. Since the growth had been removed previously by Dr. Hanker (in same practice), my husband knew what to expect. Dr. Simic was courteous and explained the steps needed for the surgery, then he turned us over to his very efficient Medical Assistant, Carina Vasquez. She was wonderful!

Very professional. They recommended I come in 20 minutes early due to the paperwork which is normal to me. My appointment was at 2. I got in the room around 2:20 From 2:20 to 3, I had my hand xrayed on site digitally so the doctor had it ready for him right when he walked in, he reviewed the xray, asked me good questions, examined my hand, treated it with an injection, and I was on my we by 3:00. I look at that as good, fast and efficient.

Paul M. Simic, M.D. was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. While playing varsity football at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, he earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, he performed post-baccalaureate work at Stanford University, and then attended Cornell University Medical College.
Dr. Simic completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. For subspecialty training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, including additional training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, he spent one year as a fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He joined the Southern California Orthopedic Institute after completing his training.
Dr. Simic has been involved in both clinical and basic science research. He has authored scientific articles on wrist and elbow fractures, and has written a textbook chapter on techniques for the surgical treatment of wrist fractures. He is Board Certified by the American Board for Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
He and his wife Amanda, enjoy skiing, fishing, golf, and travel.
