Patient reviews for Dr. Paymaun Lotfi
The office is very clean and professional, and everyone that works there was very pleasant. The assistant that saw me before Dr. Lotfi came in was great, and he seemed genuine about helping me. Dr. Lotfi was brief and seemed somewhat irritated at me, but overall helped me with what I wanted. I waited 45 minutes in the office before I was seen by a nurse.
everything went smoothly, Dr. Lotfi has always been polite and explains everything.
The wait was very long but they did say he was behind. His service was good except he hardly looked at me and was in the computer most of the time.
Explained all my options. Treated me like I was important.
Very caring Dr.
I LOVE this doctor! Great bedside manner, easy to understand explanations, etc etc.
Wait was a little long and the office staff was a little brusque, but everything seemed professional.
Always gives a positive and trusting handshake. Explains everything to you and never seems rushed. That is what I love about him and his staff. They are all not just polite but "caring."
Lofti came recommended by my primary care doc. I swore this place off so I went around the beltway looking for a good doc. I eventually relented and gave this place a second chance after a crappy experience with Press. I really like this guy. He is personable, considerate, engaging. Great bedside manner. He wants you to understand what's going on with your body. He's never on time. Ever. If you have a 3 PM appointment, expect him at 4 PM. I just bring me some magazines or work to do, as I wait. How I see it? I'd rather wait for a guy who takes his time than get the guy who's running out and leaves me feeling like I'm just throwing money out of the window for nothing. Lofti gives me that old world doctor charm. Like the doctor on Little House and the Prairie who visits their patients at home. He's awesome. Why the minus? His staff sucks. They charged my insurance $3,000 for a back brace that retailed for $75 on Amazon. Nurses at Potomac Hospital said they're infamous for this. One of his Medical Assistants, Sabrina, is LAZY (all caps). His PA is nice and knowledgeable even, but he's very much a PA. Inexperienced. Once I made an appointment with Lofti and got the PA without any pre-warning. Their entire team is subpar. You have to manage them from behind, and stay on top of what you need. If Lofti left and branched off on his own with a new support cast, I would be here for it. If he decided to no longer take insurance, I would pay him out of pocket whatever he charged. The others? They're not worth a $20 co-pay. The only reason why this update has 2 stars and not 1 is because of Dr. Lofti.
Dr. Lofti is great but waiting 2 hours for a scheduled appointment is ridiculous.
Everyone was so polite and very gentle. I love Dr. Lotfi. He made me feel very comfortable and he listened.
New patient forms should be available on line so they can be completed before arrival at initial appointment.
The Doctor was awesome! I felt very comfortable with the info given to me and I'm hopeful that I will recover from my injury.
Friendly, pleasant and attentive to the patients needs.
Dr. Lotfi was great - excellent bedside manner and very knowledgeable.
I THINK DOCTOR PAYMON LOTFI, IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR AND I WILL SEND EVERYONE TO SEE HIM.
Thought he was very patient, thoughtful and respectful. Listened well and gave great advice. Fortunately I don't need to see him regularly - or even again - but wouldn't hesitate if I did.
Just had my follow up appointment with Dr Lotfi after having an MRI done. Good news I seem to be healing so no further visits need unless symptoms get worse. However wait time for both visits was more than 45 minutes.
An excellent listener how takes the time to understand what your issue is and then takes the time to address it.
Very professional and friendly atmosphere. Front desk staff is always kind and helpful. Highly recommend this office.
I was very pleased with my visit to this office and Dr. Lofti. There was not a very long wait, I went right into x-ray, then into a room and saw Dr. Lofti. He was very professional, to the point and personable at the same time. I was pleased with his initial diagnosis and the way were going to proceed with my back pain. I would recommend him to anyone having back issues.
Not the most informative doctor. the physician's assistant spent way more time with me than the doctor, and answered a lot of the questions i couldn't get much from the doc about. the PA was really nice though.
Excellent quality of care all the way, from scheduling, front desk, radiology and the Doctor. A five star experience.
My wife visited Dr. Lotfi after she had an MRI of her back. He looked at the MRI and said surgery probably wouldn't be the best option for her. He said she should probably get injections in her back to stop the pain. He referred her to a pain specialist.
DR Lotfi took the time to listen to the background of my situation. He asked questions when I was not clear enough. He made sure I understood the cause of the pain I was having and very clearly explained all the options available to me and the sequence of events. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is experiencing problems with their neck or spine.
My first visit with Dr. Lotfi was just an evaluation but it took a really long time to check in. However, the front desk staff was really nice and courteous. I think they were just extremely busy. Dr. Lotfi was great, very calm with a common sense approach to my problem. He had me get an MRI and on follow up recommended surgery. He took the time to explain why he was recommending this and provided me with a couple of websites where I could learn more. He also provided a recommendation for a 2nd opinion. I ended up going with the 2nd opinion as my surgeon for two reasons: 1. the 2nd Dr. is a lot closer to where I live. 2. I called Dr. Lotfi's assistance with a couple of follow up questions and she did not call me back. I felt a little more secure with the 2nd Dr's staff. But I think Dr. Lotfi is an excellent Dr. and I would definitely recommend him.
Very good. Right to the point and reviewed all history and made sure I was treated properly
I had read that Dr. Lotfi will recommend surgery as a last resort. Just based on my wife's symptoms and her age (62), he already said she would need major back surgery. He's probably right, but I thought he would say that only after looking at MRI pics. We have a follow up appt next week after her MRI. We'll see what happens then.
He was in a rush, he didnt read my whole file. I had brought all my prior paper work and seemed overwhelmed. He made some copies but i found myself recommending he copy certain items for information. With how severe my diagnosis was he did offer any relief and I had to ask for pain medication which made me feel awkward. Then he prescribed me a drug that I am allergic too. Welcome to the weekend. The office staff was checked out and I felt my situation was urgent and not taken seriously.
I filled out all the information on line and they couldn't find it so I had to fill it out again. The front desk women were busy talking to each other and not being very professional.
very nice person . I would not hesitate to follow his recommendations and have him perform the surgery if necessary. great reputation well-deserved.
He is very professional and thorough. I trust him to operate on me. Sherri on this staff is very fast in responding to questions.
He was very thorough and was very please with my treatment.
I met Dr. Lotfi 14 years ago with an onset of degenerative disc disease. I'm relatively fit, so his suggestion of physical therapy to strengthen my core muscles was went a long way in recovery. I appreciate that surgery was not his first inclination. His treatment in my case was conservative which I appreciate. After a recent injury I had reason to visit again for evaluation. Still as friendly and professional as ever. The wait time was not long at all.
Dr lotfi was very easy to talk to
Awesome that's all. I have to say.
He is a great doctor.
Fast to be seen in office but waited a long time in the room. Not very empathetic. He does a good job though so if you don't need kindness and can tolerate his rough nature then you'll be happy with your care.
Very caring and professional.
Everyone in the office was efficient and very pleasant. Dr. Lotfi had reviewed my Xray and MRI prior to coming in and understood my symptoms immediately.
Very good. I would recommend him.
Great Doctor, I wouldnt have booked an appointment if I didnt trust Dr. Lofti.
Very professional and easy to talk with. He answered all my questions and covered all my concerns
The staff was friendly and helpful.
I wouldn't be going to Dr. Lofti if I didn't trust him.
Dr Lotfi is the consummate professional. I highly recommend him.
Very informative about medical problems. I would recommend him to family and friend.
Professional staff. Dr. Lotfi is awesome and explains everything in detail.
The wait was very long. I would have left if I wasn't in so much pain. However the staff was nice and the doctor seemed helpful.
