Dr. Pedro Tort-Saade is board certified in orthopedic surgery and Sports medicine. He is Fellowship trained and specilized in shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee surgery. Also he specialized in open and arthroscopic tendon and ligament surgeries, and joint reconstruction. He attended medical school at Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine: Bayamon, Puerto Rico 1994-1998 and completed his residency at University of Puerto Rico. His extensive training includes a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Minimally Invasive Knee and Hip Replacement and Joint Reconstruction at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL and Union Memorial Hopsital , in Baltimore. As an experienced physician in sports medicine and joint reconstructive surgery, Dr. Tort takes a highly personal approach to caring for his patients. He believes the most important aspects of providing quality care are listening to the needs of patients, communication, education, prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, presenting treatment options, establishing a relationship, and involving patients in the treatment plan. Dr. Tort's practice is dedicated to making all his efforts in returning his patient's back their previous once enjoyed quality of life. During an initial visit, patients can expect an initial evaluation and examination by Dr. Tort, to include an explanation of the condition and treatment options that explained in detail.
