With nearly 25 years of experience as an OB-GYN, Peggy Taylor, MD, FACOG, is widely known as an attentive and compassionate doctor. Originally from Galveston, she is proud to serve Clear Lake and Greater Houston as part of the Women, M.D. team.
Dr. Taylor listens closely to patient needs, and she strives to keep patients as comfortable as possible. Her recognitions for being a strong physician are many, and some of her awards include the Merck Manual Award, Outstanding Young Women of America, and the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award.
Before becoming a top-notch physician, Dr. Taylor attended Texas A&M University for her BA in Biology. Hungry for a richer scientific background, Dr. Taylor went to Sam Houston State University for her MS in biology. Finally, she came to University of Texas Medical School in Houston for her MD. She then completed her internship and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch of Galveston in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Taylor’s roles before Women, M.D. included a McGanity Lectureship, and serving as clinical instructor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. Before coming to Texas, she served in the Pasadena, CA area for over ten years as an OB-GYN. These days, Dr. Taylor strives to stay involved with professional associations, including the Texas Medical Association and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Taylor is fluent in both English and Spanish, and she is happy to see patients in both languages!
