Dr. Petar Novakovic graduated from the Belgrade University School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his residency at Arandjelovac Hospital, Serbia. He has participated extensively in medical research and has published several papers in Serbian and European medical journals.
In 1994, he started his Family Practice Residency Program at the Swedish Convenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, which is affiliated with the University of Chicago Medical School. In 1998, he was the recipient of the prestigious Slawikowsky Award for “Resident of the Year”. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians. Later in 1998, Dr. Novakovic moved to Arizona and opened the Novakovic Family Practice. His very successful practice is based on an integrative approach to treatment. He has created a unique blend of modalities of traditional and alternative medicine. He is a recipient of the Patient Choice Award for 2008 and 2009 in Arizona. He shares his professional expertise with future physicians by training medical students from the St. Eustachus Medical School.
Dr. Novakovic lives in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife and three children. He is also a talented musician who writes, performs and records music.
