Dr. Allen Maxwell was born in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to integrative physician Dr. Curt Maxwell and natural healer Esperanza Maxwell. He grew up in Yuma, Arizona and saw his father successfully treat countless individuals at their clinic in Los Algodones Mexico. At age 10, he knew he wanted to follow in his footsteps after witnessing the miraculous recovery of a women with chronic back pain. He earned a B.S. in Physiology from the University of Arizona and Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Sonoran University (formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine). During that time he learned closely from mentors in regenerative injections, IV therapies, and autoimmune disease, and took advanced courses in Holistic Counseling, Neuro Emotional Technique, and Reiki. Most importantly, he learned healing occurs most gracefully from alignment of mind, body, and spirit, and incorporates this wisdom into his practice.
A specialist in pain management, chronic disease, and mind-body medicine Dr. Maxwell has extensive experience with pain injection techniques such as PRP, Prolotherapy, and Neural therapy, and has taught regenerative injection techniques to many doctors and students. After his father's passing in 2020, Dr. Maxwell and Dr. Aalia Avelin, took leadership of the A.W. Health Institute. Committed to continuing his family's healing tradition, Allen is passionate about empowering individuals to live vibrant, pain-free, healthy lives and fulfill their life’s purpose. In his free time, he loves being in nature &being with family.

Dr Maxwell was the most caring and insightful doctor I have ever been to. Dr Maxwell listened to my concerns and questions and thoughtfully explained what was going on in extremely detailed and simple terms. My issues have mostly all diminished and I feel like I have a new lease on life!!! This is healthcare at its finest.

I was visiting from out of town. I began feeling sick yesterday. It came on fast and furious. My son got me an appointment and they worked on me until I was feeling better. I got an IV and tons of herbs and supplements. They took their time and made sure I understood everything. This is exactly what I needed.

This was an amazing experience. Came in feeling completely depleted. I have been sick for 3 days. They squeezed me in and got an IV going immediately. So knowledgeable and really cared. I am excited to have them on my healthcare team.

Dr. Allen is amazing! What special people he and Dr. Aalia are. I have never experienced the type of care and compassion I experienced with him. The treatment and maintenance plan he recommended are working so well! My pain is so much better and continues to improve daily! I highly, highly recommend Dr. Allen and his practice!!
