The doctor was fantastic! The office staff was not aware of my appointment. But, they went back and asked him if he could see me and he did. He was friendly, thorough, and made me feel comfortable despite my medical situation.

Dr. Peter Caravella completed his medical training at the University of Maryland after receiving his B.A. in Economics at Yale University. He completed his General Surgery training at Saint Louis University Group of Hospital.
Dr. Caravella is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr Caravella specializes in Robotic general surgery including inguinal, ventral, umbilical and hiatal hernia repair and colon resections. He also performs all other types of general surgery except for breast care .
Dr Caravella is a spokesperson and consultant on the DaVinci robot and its benefits with respect to patient outcomes. He is devoted to opioid free surgery and has developed pain protocols that have been adopted nationally. He is one of the highest volume robotic surgeons in the country each year.
