Dr. Peter Cutler, DPM
Dr. Peter Cutler completed his undergraduate studies at New York University and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at The Temple University, School of Podiatric Medicine, in Philadelphia. Dr. Cutler is an award-winning and published expert in his field. Dr. Cutler is one of the founders of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Society and a member of the American Diabetes Association. He is a former clinical professor of foot surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and has routinely lectured to physicians, medical residents as well as to fellow podiatrists. Dr. Cutler has authored several published articles on sports injuries and reconstructive surgery. One of Dr. Cutlers specialties is Sports Medicine and sports injuries, having authored a number of published articles of sports injuries and reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Cutler is a solo practitioner in Islip Terrace, New York, where he performs sonograms and x-rays on-site and has a dedicated operating suite for minor surgical procedures in his office. Dr. Cutler was the first appointed chief of the Department of Podiatry at the Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, New York, which is the largest community hospital on Long Island. He is also an attending in the Department of Surgery at the Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. Dr. Cutler has been head of podiatry at four institutions.
