I am a general and forensic psychiatrist based in Santa Monica. I have been fortunate to receive training in some of the best universities in the country, including UCLA, Columbia University, UCSF, and an excellent residency in San Mateo. I was also clinical faculty in the NYU School of Medicine. I believe that my role as a psychiatrist is not only to help relieve emotional suffering, but also to improve the lives of all my patients. Patients generally do best with a combination of therapy and medications, and I am trained in providing both, either separately or in combination.
Rates: range from $150-275. Sliding scale is available, especially for students and those interested in weekly therapy.
I have specialized training in peak performance enhancement / positive psychology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, treatment of addictions, and LGBT patients. I want all of my patients to live happy, healthy, productive lives. If medications are indicated, I want the fewest medications possible for patient to achieve their goals.
I do not currently take insurance. In most cases, patients can get some reimbursement through insurance carriers (out of network) or through a flex spending health care account. I am available Mondays and Wednesdays, and have appointments starting in July.
