Dr. Peter C. Wenger is a non- operative Sports Medicine specialist who is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Wenger brings a unique approach to Sports Medicine care with his comprehensive understanding of Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Surgery. As a multisport athlete himself, he understands a patients’ desire to safely return to sport.
Dr. Wenger graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola College with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He attended and earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Dr. Wenger then completed a surgical internship at Rush University, Chicago Ill and was promoted with highest honors. Dr. Wenger completed his residency in Family Medicine with an emphasis in Orthopedics at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. Dr. Wenger completed his training at the University of Pittsburgh, Center for Sports Medicine where he graduated from the Shadyside hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship with distinguished honors. He continues to be involved in academics as an Associate Clinical Professor at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

I received the information and help I needed for my condition. As always Dr Wenger pays attention to my concerns and is conservative in ways of resolving problems. With him surgery is always the last option to consider.

Dr. Wenger is the best of the best. He is an excellent doctor who really takes time with all his patients and provides the utmost level of care - with a smile! He works with the athletic departments of many of the local schools and when he took time to see my daughter during halftime of one of the high school football games he was working, I knew we had found a keeper. I am concerned about the wait time. I was seen by a student fairly promptly at 10:15 (appt was 10:10) but Dr. Wenger did not come in until 10:50am. SInce I was missing work, this was a problem.

Dr. Wegner was awesome! He took time to explain to me what he felt was going on with my injury. He took me through some quick movements to see what I could and could not do. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wegner to anyone with a sports related injury. My only complaint was that I could hear the front office staff arguing while I was waiting for my appointment :)
