I needed a general surgeon to have a very large mass removed (lipoma) from the side of my stomach. I found him through Zoc Doc. On the day of my initial surgery he refused to do the surgery due to the fact of my blood sugar being too high! He made the right call as a physician, he put my health first! He said I needed my endocrinologist to clear me and for me to get my sugars under control. Finally we got another surgery date this time at North Shore LIJ. Everything went according to plan. Today he checked my wound and was happy with the results! It was worth the wait. Dr. Lopresti made sure I was taken care of. I would recommend him to anyone. His Staff is very pleasant and welcoming as well.

I am Dr. Philip J. LoPresti, the founder of Continental Medical, and an American Board Certified Surgeon. I have been practicing general surgery for many years, having trained in the Brooklyn Hospital Center, followed up with a fellowship at Sloan Keettering Caner Center in New York. I spent the early part of my medical career training in the Trauma and Surgical Critical care field where I was first introduced to the varioius challenges that patients are faced with when it comes to the care of their legs.
Upon establishing my private practice, I became seriously interested in venous vascular surgery and studied under board certified vascular surgeon, Dr. H. J. Chung M.D.. Shortly thereafter, I followed up with endovenous laser training in Manhattan at Beth Israel.
I now dedicate the majority of my practice towards helping my patient's legs to look and feel their best. To date, I have performed approximately 3,000 successful endovenous procedures and multiple non laser procedures on my patients as well as micro phlebectomy and sclerotherapy procedures.
The majority of the procedures perormed are in my state of the art facility located in the heart of Forest Hills, New York. My years of experience, and expertise in this field, allows me to custom tailor a safe and effective treatment plan for my patients on an individualized basis.
I utilize only the latest laser technology, and strive for a minimally invasive approach whenever possible. My objective is always to achieve the best possible result for my patients.
