Dr. Turtel is very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. Reception staff was great. My only negative was his follow-through on giving stretches that he suggested for recovery. I never received anything, even after a follow-up requesting them.

This is a long overdue review. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Turtel. I went to see him twice already for 2 separate problems. He was very patient and explains his findings clearly to help me understand my problemsand how to get better. I already told my friends to go see him if they ever need an Orthopedist.

While waiting, another patient's full conversation could be heard and it was a rather difficult one to unintentionally overhear. Patient was not listening to the Dr, jumping to conclusions, self-directing plan of actions, and just beinga bad patient overall. Dr Turtel on the other hand, stayed very professional the whole time. When it was my turn, I had a great experience. He first listened intently on the history of my injury, then described what he thought the issue was. Luckily it was not serious, yet he had me do some simple motions and used a spine model to fully explain to me the culprit for the pain.

Dr. Turtle had a very simple, inexpensive (compared to surgery!) and effective solution to my problem which had been troubling me for a few years. Now almost one year since seeing him, his solution definitely still works.

I wish I did not see him in the first place. I suggest getting a second opinion if you use Dr. Turtle. If he doesn't mention it, ask about physical therapy.

What a great doctor! Not only is he truly a specialist, but he's also quite attentive and will listen to you and give you enough time w/o rushing you. I have previously been to the Hospital of Special Surgery and 2other practices for similar issue but neither can compare to Dr. Turtel. His staff is also super nice and very helpful. I hope I don't have to see Dr. Turtel again, but if I do need orthopedists again I'll surely go see him.

He was wonderful. Took all the time we needed to carefully explain what was going on and go over our options, and made sure all of our questions were answered. He looked at my MRI before the radiologist report, and he was exactly right about what they found. Highly recommended!

I have to that my experience with Dr Turtel was above and beyond what I have become used to with NYC doctors. He took his time speaking to me and really made me feel comfortable. I fractured some bones in mywrist/hand and the xrays were quick and he was able to view them. He inspected the Xray and told this wasn't his specialty but and encouraged me to see a wrist specialist. Not only did he make a referral to the other doctor but he called the dr to see if he had an appointment to see him right away by calling the specialist in front of me. I felt like a family member was watching me. The office staff that works for him in the back is exceptional as well. Dr Turtel really made this trying time less trying. I wish I had use of my right hand to type this review sooner, but glad I have the ability to get review him now. Thank You!

Dr Turtel is a great professional, outstandingly patient and comprehensive, gave me all the explanations I needed and waited for my partner when I asked him to narrate to both of us. His diagnosis and further directions for the recovery processwere very accurate. He is responsive in follow up consultations. The staff, especially was highly attentive and considerate. I got the best care from them and fell in very good hands. I would earnestly recommend this practitioner!

I've used ZocDoc for several appointments but Dr. Turtel was the greatest doctor that I've met through this site! Even though I made the appointment the night before, he made sure to see me and he was a wonderful listener andhelped to diagnose the issue in my lower extremities. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate and a gem in the sports medicine field! Laura (his assistant) was also very kind and helpful in the referral process to get an MRI screening. Also, Dr. Turtel personally called me the next day to follow up with my MRI results. So impressive!! Overall, I had a very pleasant visit and highly recommend Dr. Turtel! Thank you!

What a pleasant surprise. I found him on DocZoc and he was the first available. But I'm so glad that I went to him. He was a wealth of knowledge and was patient and understanding. I just went in for anankle sprain, but would totally go to him again for other sports injuries. The front desk receptionist was also very helpful.

Not sure if this is a zoxdoc problem or if the actual doc office is misrepresenting which insurance they accept. I made an appt with an IN network doctor, filled out 20 mins of info online and sent it in aheadof my appt. Then waited 45!!!!!!!!! Minutes and was eventually told that they don't accept my insurance. My dissatisfaction is at an all time high!

His assistant was very nice, however I showed up 30 min early to fill out any remaining paperwork, and he still didn't see me for over 45 min past my scheduled appointment time. People in the office seem to just bewandering around aimlessly and moving slowly, which for me was frustrating since it was the middle of my work day. He saw other clients before me who showed up after I did, which seemed unprofessional to me since I had arrived so much earlier then needed and was still not attended to. I had an x-ray done and the technician didn't even offer me any radiation protection, which I found interesting because he specifically shut the door to the area he was occupying every time he took the snapshot. The diagnosis was normal and maybe took 3 min to explain. I excited fairly quickly and he told me to call a different specialist if I had any problems. I will most likely not be going back.
