Unlike other Doctors that I have seen by using Zocdoc, Dr. Kadkade, really cares about me, and my health concerns. He has never cancelled my appointments, he has never called me a hypochondriac, or spoken to me in a disrespect-full manner. Other
Dr’s that’s I have used through Zocdoc, have said, and done the above mentioned things. I no longer use these Dr’s, and would never recommend them to anybody. Dr. Kadkade is great, and I would always refer him to my family, and friends.

Prajoy Kadkade is a dedicated and diligent ear, nose and throat doctor serving the communities of Great Neck and Sunnyside, NY. Having trained in engineering at M.I.T., Dr. Kadkade aims to provide innovative care with many of the latest techniques and treatments available. Dr. Kadkade earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his residency training in Otorhinolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital (the University Hospitals of Columbia Presbyterian and Cornell Medical Centers) and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Kadkade is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Association of Otolaryngic Allergy.
Dr. Kadkade is multi-lingual (including Spanish). His awareness of different languages makes him accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. In addition to serving his patients while Director of the North Shore University Hospital Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Disorders, Dr. Kadkade founded the Laboratory for Laryngeal Electrophysiology Clinical Testing. He was featured on the Learning Channel show “That’s Gotta Hurt” for discussion of his reconstruction of a complex facial trauma. He has provided charity surgical care to impoverished communities in the Philippines.

It was fine. My appointment was for 12n, but I was called by the office and asked if I could come at 11:30 instead because they had a cancellation. I got there at 11:10 but was not called in to see doctor until 12:30pm. I had to go back out to put more money in the parking meter.

He didn’t help much, and when I told him my symptoms he just said it’s probably nothing. I voiced my concerns and said “well what if it’s this or that?” And he said “maybe” and would go in that direction. I’m not the doctor here :) no solve for what seemed to be vertigo. It could happen again and I don’t know why!

Strange experience. Walked in (last appt of the day), no one at reception. Didn't fill out any paperwork. There is a staff desk in the exam room. Their credit card payment system was down, so they billed me. The bill came to my job, not to my home. They sent me for a test and then could not get into the portal to see the results, so never called with them. I was able to get them myself. Then the results interpretation was to "wait and see" but no follow-up appointment was suggested. All of the above combined, I do not think I will be returning.

Only complaint was that I was given a prescription for an over the counter medicine. This created confusion at the CVS down the street which told me my insurance didn’t cover it. I waited a long time in the pharmacy for my insurer and the pharmacist to get on the same page. I could have just bought the medicine with no prescription to begin with.

Dr. Kakade himself is a very nice man, and my appointment with him went smoothly. However he has advertised on Zocdoc that he takes my insurance, when actually he is out of network with my plan. I got an unexpected bill recently and just got off the phone with the woman that does the claims. She says that it is my fault and should've known that he doesn't take my insurance, even though it states that he does.
Front desk also could've chimed in at any time at or before the appointment to let me know it was out of network and wouldn't be covered, but no.
Also- the office is run down, and front desk staff is unfriendly. If I'm being charged this much out of pocket for a 20 minute appointment, at least make sure the place is nice.
