Dr. Prema has dedicated her life to taking care of women with a personal touch. She combines expertise with compassion to deliver personalized care of the highest quality. Dr. Prema has been practicing Gynecology for the past 25 years.
Dr. Prema is also an urogynecologist and gynecologic surgeon. She has spent many years in extensive post-fellowship training in order to achieve special expertise in advanced techniques to treat urinary incontinence as well as pelvic organ prolapse, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, abdominal surgery for large fibroids as well as laparoscopic surgery for many fibroids.
While being an expert in these fields, Dr. Prema has a conservative surgical philosophy and often recommends either non-surgical management or minimally invasive surgical treatment for both urogynecologic and gynecologic health problems. We welcome you to see her for consultation regarding your problem. Being a mother herself, Dr. Prema understands the issues and concerns that women normally have. Empathy, sincerity, confidentiality and dedication to women's health are the four cornerstones of Dr. Prema's approach to patient care.

I scheduled my appointment about two months in advance. I was called about 2-3 weeks after my visit to be notified that the doctor had a conflict and that they needed to reschedule me. This happened yet AGAIN. Something else they do not notify you of is that if you cancel for whatever reason 24 hours after MAKING UR RESERVATION, you will be charged a fee. If you make your appointment, the fee is applied toward your final bill. This is something that should be made very clear to anyone making a reservation.
My appointment was for 8:45am. The doors to the office were not opened until around 8:50. There was someone with an 8:30am appointment waiting even before me!
The most shocking thing was that I was never seen by the doctor who I booked the appointment with. I only ever saw the nurse practitioner, bcus the doctor never came in- even though I was rescheduled twice due to the doctor’s availability.
Only redeeming thing is the nurse at the check in desk was very nice and personable.

The doctor was very knowledgeable however was very quick to use the speculum without warning me, only after the fact saying “it won’t hurt” when it definitely did (I generally expect discomfort but stating that I’d be fine when I wasn’t was weird)
I did appreciate the help and advice she gave me but it did feel quite rushed.

Asked us to make a list of questions to be answered but very few were answered due to doctor’s time constraint. The doctor was in a hurry to get over with the appointment.
We were told that our insurance will mostly cover all and charged us the whole deductible before going entering the doctor’s clinic.
I won’t recommend this doctor to anyone. Very disappointed and unsatisfactory experience.

I am very unpleased with Dr. Perma. I went in for an annual pap and a check up on cyst that I have in my uterus. I was a few days away from the start of my period and when she was doing an ultrasound, she said she thought I was pregnant. She had me take a pregnancy test and go to the lab to get blood work. She had me nervous all weekend and still has not called with results to any of the tests. A few days later I got my period. I do not appreciate the way she got me freaked out about being pregnant and then never called to let me know that I was not. I am skeptical of a Dr. who confuses an egg with being pregnant. Also if you don't go early in the morning, the wait is awful and there aren't very many seats in the waiting room.

My first time was great but this time she was behind in the waiting room. Had to wait 45min before I was called back. It was a follow up appointment and so when she got in the room, it felt like she was guessing and didn't quite know why I was there to see her. She asked about medications that I was not on. She looked at me for about 5 min and was out of there. I could understand since she was backed up she wanted to get me out quickly but it still felt rushed and impersonal.
