She was also Chief Resident of her Internal Medicine Residency program in 2005-2006. She then went on to specialize in Nephrology with a Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 2006 and board certified in Nephrology since 2008.
