I was pleasantly surprised that I never waited for anything—to check in, to be brought to a room, to be seen by the doctor, or to meet with the person to schedule my procedure. Everyone was very friendly. I would remind others that you do have to go through the building’s security on the main floor, but that’s very common in NYC. There should be better signage for the elevators as you must go to the left and down the hall. I went right first. But it was not a big deal, and nothing in this paragraph is to find fault with the doctor’s office.

She was very caring and treated me like a person with a name instead a chart # or patient #

A few hours prior to my in-person appointment I received a call informing me that the Dr. was not available at her office and they switched me to televisit. She is with Mt. Sinai. At the time of my log-in the video on her end wasn't working so we had to do it by phone. The tech troubles lasted 10 minutes and then she was in such a hurry to get on to the next thing that she hardly listened. She asked repetitive questions and ordered two stool tests and a colonoscopy. She told me I could pick up the test kits at my PCP office. She reassured me twice that the order was in my chart and I didn't need to show anything, the staff could look in the chart and find what they need. I proceeded to call that office before walking a mile in ghastly heat to pick it up and was told that of course I could come in. I walked a mile to get there and was told there was a miscommunication and sadly, they had no record of my test orders and I needed to show them the test order that would have been printed out after my visit. I explained it was a tele visit and I had nothing that was printed out. I went on my cell phone to call the Dr. and got a message that I had reached a non-working number at Mt. Sinai. I finally found the number and that office manager insisted that the office staff in my PCP office give me the test kit. They gave me a kit and when I got home realized it was the WRONG kit. This is complete incompetence. Mt. Sinai is more at fault here than Dr. Priya but I also think Dr. Priya Simoes should be familiar with the way the hospital system works (or doesn't work) so that she informs her patients correctly. What benefit is there to tele medicine if the technology doesn't work, and the test orders don't show up in the system and the staff doesn't know what to do when you show up to get the test. UNBELIEVABLE TO WITNESS THE WAY MEDICAL CARE IN THIS COUNTRY IS FALLING APART all in the name of modern technology.
Dr. Simoes was so kind and personable. I had a tough day and she showed genuine care while also listening all of my symptoms and concerns. She made recommendations and planned next steps for my procedure. I highly recommend her!

The place was spotless. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I sad for about 10 minutes when Dr. Priya Simoes came out personally to greet me and walked with me to the examination room. Extremely nice and patient. She took her time talking to me and throughly explained things. She allowed me express myself and ask questions. I was happy to have met Dr. Simoes and be under her care.

Amazing doctor, very well-run practice!
For the first video visit, she was not able to attend. So the office called me and asked to reschedule. The customer service compensated for the inconvenience.

Dr Simoes is great! She seems to be knowledgeable and caring about her patients. The Mt Sinai video chat app though was a mess- I was forced to pay before the appt- otherwise I can’t even start the video visit!!

Dr. Simoes has a great bedside manner. Took the time to listen to my concerns & provided feedback. She made it easier to speak about an otherwise uncomfortable topic. I would highly recommend.
Dr. Simoes was incredible. She took my concerns seriously and explained everything very clearly. I felt supported and in good hands during the visit.
Verified patient
Dr. Simoes took time to listen to my symptoms and asked very pertinent follow-up questions. I felt that she was thorough in explaining her analysis of my condition and clear in outlining a course of treatment. The office staff was friendly, professional and competent. Overall, a very positive experience!
Dr. Simoes is lovely, smart and easy to talk to. She was happy to let me know that I may not need medication or further treatment depending on my tests - she's not out to waste my time or money. I was very happy with my appointment. Too bad the office sent me to LabCorp for tests where I was treated horribly. Not her fault.
