Dr. Ahmed is a Houston native and grew up in League City. She had a strong interest in medicine early on. She graduated from University of Texas at Dallas with honors before attending medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She then completed residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. She always knew she wanted to be a physician but when she left to pursue her educational goals, she always planned to come back and was thrilled to return home after graduation, where she has been practicing since 2016.
Dr. Ahmed chose the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology because she feels passionate about women’s health. She knows that women face unique challenges in health care, with an ever-changing scope from adolescence into adulthood, and through menopause. She strives to cultivate collaborative and respectful relationships with her patients to help guide them through each new milestone or challenge. She is an advocate for women’s empowerment. She loves getting to know her patients and working with each one to develop individualized care. She invites questions and takes time to discuss all the options so that each patient has the knowledge as well as the treatments that lead to long-term success.
Dr. Ahmed’s training in obstetrics includes prenatal care, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, operative deliveries, ultrasound, infertility, and management of pregnancy complications. Pregnancy and childbirth are some of the most amazing and happy times in a woman’s life and Dr. Ahmed strives to ensure that each woman’s journey is a joyful and safe experience, and feels truly privileged to share in these breathtaking moments that change families forever. She feels equally honored to stand with her patients through the tougher times and provide compassionate care for those facing difficult losses or infertility.
