I’m a Columbia and Cornell trained child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. My private practice focuses on psychotherapy, lifestyle interventions and, when indicated, medication management for the treatment of a broad range of psychiatric problems. These include depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, work stress, low self-esteem and relationship issues. I offer a tailored therapy experience and provide a warm, welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. I see patients both via telemedicine and in-person in my Upper West Side office.
I have extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy. I also incorporate elements of eastern mindfulness in treatment. The specific treatment approach will depend on your specific problem.

***PLEASE NOTE***
(1) All new patient evaluations are 60 to 90 minutes. Follow up appointments are typically 45 minutes.
(2) Dr. Burgos will reach out before your initial session via phone or email to confirm your appointment and discuss why you are seeking treatment. Ideally it would be best not to make an appointment within 24hrs.
(3) Dr. Burgos does NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE & is not on any insurance panels. Documentation is provided that can be used for out-of-network reimbursement. I am unable to see anyone with Medicare/Medicaid at this time.
