Psychotherapist
242 W 30th St, New York, NY
As a couples therapist and creative arts therapist, I help partners and individuals explore their inner worlds with curiosity and compassion. Together, we’ll work to understand the origins of your struggles, illuminate unconscious patterns that shape your relationships, and cultivate new ways of relating—to yourself, to others, and to your life. Working with me is collaborative, exploratory, and paced. I prioritize creating a safe, attuned space where curiosity can replace judgment and where difficult feelings can be held with care. Grounded in psychoanalytic thinking and EFT technique, I attend to both what is said and what may be operating beneath the surface — patterns, defenses, and unspoken emotions that shape your relationships and sense of self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is not a quick fix; it is a creative, relational process in which insight, emotion, and experience gradually come together. With couples, I focus on slowing reactive cycles, helping partners feel seen, and fostering deeper emotional connection. Relationships are living systems—they evolve, adapt, and sometimes get stuck. When communication breaks down or emotional distance grows, therapy offers a space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening between you. In our work together, we’ll: - Identify the recurring patterns that keep you feeling disconnected - Understand the emotional needs and fears driving those patterns - Explore the impact of past experiences on your current relationship - Develop tools for honest communication, empathy, and repair Whether you’re rebuilding after a rupture, navigating life transitions, or simply longing for more connection, therapy can help you tune into the emotional currents that shape your interactions. The goal is not only to resolve conflict, but to build a deeper and more resilient bond.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

With couples I typically begin with one joint session to understand your relationship, what brings you to therapy, and the concerns you would like to address. This is followed by two individual sessions—one with each partner—to better understand your personal history, relationship experiences, and how these may shape the ways you respond to one another. We then return to joint sessions, where we work together to identify and map the cycle that develops between you. A typical session is collaborative and focused on slowing down interactions so we can understand what is happening beneath recurring conflict, distance, or disconnection. Over time, we work toward recognizing underlying emotions and needs, understanding each partner’s experience, and creating new ways of communicating and responding to one another. The goal is not simply to resolve individual disagreements, but to help couples develop a more secure, connected, and responsive relationship. Each couple’s process is unique, and I tailor our work to your particular relationship, history, and goals.
