The actual visit with Dr. Bowen was very worthwhile for me. My only concerns were the long wait in the waiting room, and while I completed all of my forms online, prior to the visit, the office staff did not have any record of this. As a result I had to complete another set of forms in the office prior to my seeing Dr. Bowen. Additionally, I was asked to sign my name to approximately 7 different forms.....that part was a bit cumbersome.

Dr. Bowen and the entire offjce staff were amazing! I run a medical office, so I know what a challenge it can be. The enture experience was very pleasant. The nurse (I am so sorry I cannot remembee her name!) took so much time with my intake and testing. Dr. Bowen was empathetic and kind and treated me with a procedure right on the spot, which she could have very easily made me schedule for another time, because she knew how uncomfortable I had been. I am so happy to have foind such a compentent and caring physician! They seem to be harder to come by these days!

Writing this review, I have to apologize to Dr. Bowen. From the time I did see her, she was very kind and seemed like a great doctor. But this review is meant to warn patients about her staff and the general office environment of their Brooklyn Avenue location in which I was seen. For some background, I am a 22 y/o female from Boerne who sought out an ENT in San Antonio for chronic sinusitis issues that I had while in college. Because Bowen took my insurance and got good reviews, I chose her. My first appointment she told me that my nose tissue was very inflamed, so I needed an allergy test. The allergy testing office above her was unable to see me for another month. I made an appointment. Coming from Boerne, I drove 45 mins to the appointment but was about 10 mins late to said appointment which was absolutely my fault. I had waited for about 45 minutes for my last appointment though, so I was in part trying to avoid that type of situation again by arriving 10 mins late. the kicker is that there is absolutely nowhere to park at this location. I waited for someone to leave to grab a spot and then rushed inside because I wasn't wanting to be any later than 10 minutes. I was directed to upper office which is different from where I was originally seen. I waited behind another woman to check in for my appointment. By this time I was over 15 but under 20 mins late. The nurse informed me that they would have to reschedule me and could not see me until the end of July for an allergy test. This was about a month away from that day. By this point I was relatively upset, since my allergies had been bothering me, I had waited a month for this appointment, and then I start law school in mid August in Austin and would have to reschedule an appointment with Dr. Bowen before then. I was kind of rude by asking why they could not just see me then, since I had waited a month for this appointment. The nurse was very short back with me, and she told me that she had to check in the three people behind me in line before I could reschedule with her. I felt very upset as I waited and just walked out of the office. Then when I called to reschedule when I was less upset, I left a message explaining the situation. No one called me back. The day before my appointment with the Doctor, having not had an allergy test, I got a text reminder from the clinic about my appointment. I just called, and they told me it had already been cancelled. They were also not helpful in the least bit about rescheduling or finding other options. Also no one ever called and informed me that it was cancelled in the first place. I am assuming that the first nurse may have been mad at me for walking out of the waiting room instead of scheduling with her in person. However, I would expect more understanding and flexible treatment from professionals who are in the business of caring for others. I have never had such poor treatment from any medical professional and am surprised at how scattered their office process seems to be. At least I'm optimistic that I dodged a bullet for choosing their office and will find a better permanent doctor in Austin.

I had a polyp surgically removed from my vocal cord and was very pleased with Dr. Bowen. She has a great bedside manner, kept my family updated during the surgery, is very knowledgeable, and very nice. I would definitely recommend her.

She was very, VERY pleasant... And it was well worth the wait. When she entered the room, she apologized about the delay- said there was an emergency. Minus the lack of update re the emergency, the experience was very good. Best thing of it all, after eight years of misdiagnoses by previous doctors and incorrect treatments, Dr. Bowen has made me well again!! I HIGHLY recommend her. OH! And her staff is just as wonderful :)

Would not consider another doctor unless I really had to! She is the greatest! The wait may seem long but it is worth it. Just bring a good book! Also, note that I did not see her at the Brooklyn Avenue address but at the Westover Hills address. Thank you.

Young kids dressed in scrubs, chatting on their cell phones, laughing around the corners, showing off pictures of their weekend, just a big old mess.
?loud and obnoxious, students running the office is horrific. we arrived early and went up to the receptionist, she kept reading her magazine, we had to wait until she looked up? Yes, then the office seemed to explode with 10, 15 scruffy looking kids in scrubs, just like a club, doing their thing. I can't trust any dr allowing all this happening to work on me. I was sent for some test, about four weeks ago, no one called me with the results. when I called for the result I was told I was no allowed to speak to the dr? I had to make another appointment and she would give the results to me then? really. I don't think the DR'S are allowed to do much without the permission of these kids that run the office. it's a laugh actually. I will have my results forwarded to my new ENT Dr as I wish never to be back in that mess again.

Dr. Bowen has the BEST bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen. She is kind, thorough, and explains things in a way I can understand them. I hope she opens her own practice someday because the only drawback to visits with her is having to deal with the front desk employees. They are sometimes unprofessional and do not act like they are in the service industry.

Although the office is VERY busy, Dr. Bowen was extremely pleasant and professional. She was patient and thoroughly explained all my options. I felt extremely comfortable asking questions and talking to her about my concerns. If I ever need to see an ENT again, I will definitely return to Dr. Bowen!
