Chan began his physician training at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, Calif. He completed an internship and a residency in family medicine at UC Irvine School of Medicine.
Chan is fluent in Spanish and enjoys the diversity of his work, and the opportunity to provide healthcare for both new and established patients.
“When I was in medical school going through rotation, it seemed like family medicine would allow me to treat a variety of patients, as well as a variety of illnesses,” he said.
Especially rewarding for Chan is the chance to know his patients by name, be familiar with their health histories and chat with them about their lives.
In his spare time he spends time with his wife and 3-year-old daughter as they discover new activities and adventures to experience together.
