I requested a female doctor. When I showed up to the appointment I mentioned that I had an appointment with a female doctor and they told me there was only a male there that day. I said I wished to reschedule since I booked a female and they only had a male and they said they'd have to charge me for the last minute cancelation then. They said if I rescheduled, then they wouldn't charge me but I wasn't ready to choose a new date just yet so they were going to charge me. So then I just decided to see the male doctor against my wishes. He was a perfectly nice doctor, I was just upset that the female doctor I scheduled the visit with was not who I saw and I basically had no choice unless I wanted to get charged for nothing.

I did not get to see Hesper, but I did meet with another doctor. I’ve never used Zocdoc before and just booked based on my need, which was shoulder pain. The doctor I met with was unable to do much more than tell me things I could have found online, such as cold and hot compress, and was unable to recall the names of the muscles related to my issue. She did offer to write me a prescription for pain medication and wrote me a referral to another facility for an MRI but stated it may just be a lot of money to find nothing. Now, I do recognize that this is a dermatology office, but I don’t understand why they would offer services on Zocdoc for issues such as shoulder pain if they are unequipped to do so. If you have needs for skin or plastic surgery related issues, you may have a better experience, but unfortunately that was not the case for me. The office was very clean and the staff was friendly, but my visit was less than ten minutes (not including wait time) and very unfulfilling.
