Dr. Druz is a founder and creator of the Integrative Cardiology Center of Long Island (ICCLI.com). Integrative Cardiology Center is a unique and modern practice where nutrition, functional medicine, yoga and stress reduction are integrated with state-of-the-art cardiac consultations and treatments.
Dr. Druz received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Hunter College of the City University of New York in 1991 graduating Sum Cum Laude with a science GPA of 4.00 and a cumulative GPA of 3.98. She received her MD degree from the Weill Medical College of the Cornell University in 1995, graduating among top 1% of her class. Dr. Druz completed internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship training at the New York Hospital –Weill Cornell Medical Center. She served as an Assistant Chief resident, and chief fellow. Dr. Druz served as an Associate Director of Nuclear Cardiology at the St. Francis Hospital-The Heart Center in the Division of Cardiac Research and Education, and subsequently advanced to Directorship of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Fellowship Research at the North Shore University Hospital, Hofstra School of Medicine. Dr. Druz is a national and international expert in cardiac imaging, and has been involved in clinical and research activities publishing over 40 abstracts and manuscripts. She is considered a thought leader in her field, holding several prominent leadership positions in the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Druz is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Hofstra NSLIJ School of Medicine. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT. Dr. Druz is also board-certified in Functional and Anti-aging Medicine.

Dr. Regina Druz is an excellent Doctor. However, I would not recommend to go to her office in Mineola due to her secretary/front desk. If you don't want to have additional stress in your life, please do not go there! The secretary is unprofessional, rude, not willing to listen, resolve the problem. She overcharged me and did not to cooperate with me. At the end my insurance' representative apologized and took the ownership in that situation. Moreover, she made me to come for results in the office, so they would charge again a copay. She had never gave my message to the doctor. Also, the doctor asked her to call me with the results (good one), so I wouldn't come in, but she had never did....

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They remembered me which made me feel like they really excel at exercising care and building relationships with their patients. I was seen almost immediately and the only wait was because I arrived early. The doctor was very polite, knowledgeable and explained everything to me so I was aware of what they had discovered. She took the time to go over my tests with me, elaborate on any issues and asked if I had any questions. They even did a second check up to ensure my vitals were accurate and in line with last time. They provided me with my information, expressed gratitude for using their services and encouraged me to contact them if I had any questions. I would highly recommend this doctor and assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely thrilled to have found Dr. Druz. As a "stubborn" medical professional, it really takes a lot for me to go see someone else about my medical care, let alone to find someone I trust. Dr. Druz was recommended to me by some friends who are well respected and seasoned physicians in their respective fields. I work in the medical industry and I can tell you Dr. Druz and her staff carry themselves with professionalism that is rarely seen anymore.
Ultimately the news I received fro Dr. Druz was not great however I feel after spending almost 45 minutes with me she has come up with a plan/life change that is easy to follow and should keep me above ground. Would highly recommend.

I am writing this review for my husband, Victor's, 1st appt w Dr. Druz. Let me first say something about all the other drs we have seen. I have witnessed dr after dr sugar-coat my husband's health to him, as they pick up that this is what he himself wants to hear. "You have the heart of a 20-yr-old." "You're gonna live to be a 100." I have seen this again & again, with all his drs. These light-hearted 'jokes' are blatantly untrue - & a great disservice to my husband, to say the very least. These (well-known, highly regarded!) drs have BARELY MENTIONED - let alone explained & implemented a plan to reverse - the very serious risk factors my husband does have. The drs we have seen prior to Dr Druz have spent A FEW BRIEF MINS w us, quickly prescribed a statin - which I do NOT want him taking unless absolutely necessary - slapped him on the back & said, "See you in a year." Basically, 'Good luck, Buddy.' This situation has made me extremely angry - and even more scared. If you cannot count on your cardiologist to guide you & help you protect yourself from Heart Disease, who are you supposed to turn to? Your lawyer?? Your accountant?? Wing it yourself, with no training, based on flipping thru Prevention magazine??? Its your HEART. I have been very upset & worried about this, for a long time.
Now about Dr. Druz. My husband has a very intimidating manner & is not an 'easy' patient for any dr. Dr. Druz handled Victor with great finesse - she was firm & strong at the necessary moments, and warm & friendly & fun the rest of the time. She was very direct & did not sugar-coat ANYTHING. She MADE SURE my husband understood & acknowledged the risk factors he has - It was the FIRST TIME ANY DOCTOR HAS DONE THIS. I felt so relieved at one point, that I actually got tears in my eyes. I felt like hugging Dr. Druz. I knew that that moment was a turning point - where my husband would now take his health seriously and make the necessary changes (particularly in his diet). At the end of the appt, he did in fact willingly sign up for her 24-week program, in which he will meet with her nutritionist once a week, to begin, little by little, to make all the necessary changes, in diet, begin some supplements, do some more tests for more detailed info, etc. Words cannot express how happy & relieved & grateful I am. I feel like a million pounds have been lifted off my back. If you love your husband & don't want to lose him to a heart attack or stroke, do whatever it takes to drag him in to see Dr. Druz - I told my husband that him going to see Dr. Druz was what I wanted for my Christmas present, nothing else, so he couldn't say no...!! ;-)))

It was my first visit with Dr. Druz and am amazed how great my visit was with her. In comparison to other practices...they don't overbook patients and has a clean & upscale atmosphere. The receptionist is accommodating & professional...and Dr. Druz is thorough, professional and truly genuine when it comes to her patients.

I visited Dr. Druz after open-heart surgery for an ASD repair. She was helpful in getting me off the medication. On this first visit she immediately explained her concierge fee. I told her I had a great deal of medical bills from the open-heart and could not pay such a fee. But surprisingly, she offered to see me anyway and order some tests. She had spoken at great length about the genetic tests that were part of her “program” and I specifically asked for a thyroid assay because of a previous TSH result.
I enjoyed my conversation with Dr. Druz. I felt she shared a similar mindset about managing my health through nutrition. So you can imagine how disappointed I was when I return a few weeks later. First, she never did the thyroid assay I specifically requested. Next, she ordered extremely expensive genetic blood tests that tested my tolerance for certain pharmaceuticals. What!??? That’s not what she explained and I am not taking any pharmaceuticals! Other than that, it was the standard blood test.
She then proceeded, with 3 students present, to review her weight-loss program again. (BTW, I have 15 lbs to lose) I guess she forgot our last conversation. I was so disappointed you cannot imagine. I have good medical insurance but apparently, it’s not enough. I wish I had been told about the additional fees and didn’t have to waste 3 hours (1.5 hours per visit) listening to a sales pitch.
I was never able to ascertain the doctor’s medical ability, but her sales skills are hardcore.

Unfortunately, I have been sick for almost a year and have seen many, many doctors on Long Island and in the city. I am also a registered nurse and work with many more doctors in a hospital setting so I have been on both sides. Many doctors do not spend the time to really listen and explain. I have often felt that what they don't know gets put back onto the patient and sometimes blown off as "anxiety". Dr Druz really listens, explains and is not afraid to say she's not an expert on something. She looks at the whole picture. I am preparing to have a serious surgery and Dr Druz shared my concerns. Today's visit in what has been a very long haul was life changing. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone, especially women.
