This office is extremely poorly run. Twice I showed up for appointments and the office was closed. No cancelation or explanation. Just a locked door and no one answering the phone. Their system of scheduling is so disorganized and they preferyou to just come in and be seen first come, first serve, but they don’t even post regular hours. The Dr comes off as very judgmental. I will not be going back. Very sketchy place.

This office should be avoided. I just had so many issues with this office and with the doctor, I finally switched doctors. I had several issues for which I needed a referral. The doctor always wrote referrals to her friends -only to find out none of these people take my insurance. I called the office several times to explain this, they promised to send a new referral. that never came. It just seems like they pad their friends with referrals- and don't take your time/money into consideration. the doctor has a strange bedside manner - she's nice enough, but if she doesn't agree with your lifestyle choices - be prepared for a rambling lecture. Just one example: I have an IUD which means I don't get my period - the doctor lectured me that that's not true and that I should be getting my period every month. She continued to argue with me about this despite me telling her that I had been with my previous doctor for 10 years and never had an issue with this. She wanted to refer me for testing because of this. I refused. Got a lecture.

She constantly talks down to you. She told me procedures had been authorized and when she did the tests I ended up receiving a bill for them. She is very rude and needs to learn professional bedside manner. Her referrals areto doctors who are just as bad as her. So many better doctors who honor their appointment times, don’t berate the patient, and won’t charge you when she said it was confirmed as covered.

I’m a first time patient of Dr. sotnik. She was extremely nice, caring and very concerned about my general health. She offered helpful advise and discussed in depth my best course of actions needed to improve my health in the nearfuture. All Staff at the facility were very helpful and professional.

I'm a bit delayed in my response to my appointment with Dr. Sotnik because I feel conflicted about how my short lived care with her was, but after time and consideration, I do feel that it's important for me to leavea review echoing both some of the positive and more negative reviews that I've seen here. Firstly, I do think that Dr. Sotnik is a thorough and knowledgeable physician. She recommended a good primary care plan that made sense for me based on my blood work and medical history, but I think her approach is cause for consternation. Dr. Sotnik comes off as judgmental and masks it with a sweet demeanor. Her reaction responses to my accounts of light recreational drug use, and diet (I'm a vegetarian) gave me pause. I hesitated to tell her honestly about my sexual history after that, and wondered if she would respond similarly for a patient with a severe drug abuse problem. A doctor should advise you on medical matters without being outwardly opinionated about a patient's lifestyle choices in a way that makes them feel alienated. Most importantly, I selected her as a PCP based on location because my insurance requires referrals for specialists. I have a chronic autoimmune illness which I know the ins and outs of, understand well, and have been in regular treatment for for all of my adult life. She insisted on full routine blood work- I think it's normal for a doctor to require a patient to establish care, but her staff was then unable to provide me with a retro-active referral for having seen my specialist following a flare for the chronic disease that landed me in the hospital. I confirmed with my insurance later that doctors can retroactively provide referrals for up to a certain amount of time after a specialist is seen, and I was within that time frame. Her staff was just unable to figure out the insurance provider's referral system, and didn't work through it to provide me with one. Luckily I was able to appeal the claim with my insurance provider based on my medical history and accounts from other doctors. For that alone, I discontinued care and wouldn't recommend her, as her staff is unable to fulfill basic administrative obligations for her patients, but I would also dissuade anyone without a perfect medical and personal history from seeking care with her based on how chiding I felt that she was.

This was probably the worst doctor’s visit I’ve ever had in my life. Dr. Sotnik was combative, unprofessional, and almost bullying. I saw her for a yeast infection, but she immediately criticized me when I told her about unrelated digestiveproblems I’ve been experiencing (and am being treated separately for). She refused to believe any personal accounts I gave of my health history because she needed “my charts.” She insisted I do blood work then and there even though I told her repeatedly that I had had blood drawn 2 weeks prior at a different clinic, and all was normal. She insisted/ask me three times to do blood work, even as I staunchly refused each time. (I was there for a yeast infection!) Then made me “promise” that I would have my blood drawn by her at my next visit. Generally, she seemed to disagree with whatever statement I happened to say, taking this oddly aggressive stance when I explained my general health history. I cannot recommend her less.

Another awful scheduling disaster with Zocdoc. They had me for 9:30am, happily kept me sitting in the waiting room for 30 mins, and only when I asked how long the wait is they tell me the doctor doesn't come in until10am. It was almost 10am by then anyway so I asked if I can be seen first when she arrives, but they had an unexpected post surgery patient who had to be seen right away. They couldn't even give me the estimate of the wait time, all the while not even paying attention my appointment time. tragic combination of lazy staff and zocdoc's failure to coordinate with the clinics.

I haven't been to see a doctor in a while (its that weird transition from having your parents do all of that for you to then doing it on your own). I met with Dr. Sotnik after very minimal wait time. She is smart, funny, curious about me, nurturing, and kind. Within minutes it felt like she was genuinely concerned about my well being and focused on ensuring she brought my health to 100%. I felt authentically cared for and supported by her and am grateful for our first meeting.

I honestly would not recommend her. When I asked her to refer me to a gynecologist, she referred me to a male doctor and as soon as I told her I prefer a woman GYN she ridiculed me. "What you mean?!My GYN is a male and he helped deliver my baby...blah blah blah". She was not a soothing and friendly doctor, she was cut-throat and rough around the edges. Speaking of rough around the edges, the receptionist, Gloria, was also quite rude. Not knowing that they were approaching closing time, when I called to check in on a Lab, she rudely said "We're about to close, I don't have time to check on that right now".

as a young adult I wanted someone who would also be informative on things I should be doing at my age. As far as my health like what I need to be getting checked being that I'm a female and allthe risk that is out there. With that being said I enjoyed my visit and I felt comfortable talking to her about my concerns and she will be my new primary care doctor. She someone who not only does there job, but is a very personable.

Would HIGHLY recommend. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. She took detailed notes and asked plenty of follow up questions. By the end of the appointment, she reviewed everything we discussed to make sure I understood what we talked aboutand next steps. I read the previous negative reviews, and while she is direct and asks questions, she is genuine about understanding who her patient is. I am looking forward to my future appointments.

I agree with all the other comments. Her bedside manner leaves much to be desired. She is very opinionated and a little but condescending which made me feel uncomfortable. Instead of answering my specific questions she kept giving me a lotof unsolicited unrelated advice which I didn't appreciate. I would never come back for a second visit but had to in order to pick up my lab results .Will never go back and do not recommend . However , the lady at the reception was very nice.

I thought Dr Sotnik was very thorough and thoughtful in her treatment. I had read a few other reviews that she was 'nosey' and judgemental. I think her 'noseyness' is simply her approach to treating her patients. She has an interestin treating the entire patient not just the symptom. She wants to make sure your health and wellbeing is in a good state in general and sometimes the cause of an illness is not always obvious. I'm glad she took the time to ask lots of questions and check a variety of things. As for her 'judgemental' attitude - I think her Russian background may contribute to people perceiving her as being judgemental. Russians tend to be far more direct and a little less personable than americans and mean no offence at all.

She is a nice doctor explains things well but very judgemental. This was my first and last visit the 2. Things i came in for she didnt treat but wanted to talk about every other health issues. Im still in painand looking for another doctor to get my MRI she should listen to her patients more than jump into her own conclusions about someones private life.
