I am Dr. Renee Denobrega, MD (AISM, Guyana), DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP, and I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree internationally and practice in the United States as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Since 2019, I have provided comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, accurate diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing telepsychiatric care through secure video and telephone appointments.
As both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I recognize the close connection between physical and emotional health. My holistic approach integrates psychiatric care, medical evaluation, medication management, and lifestyle and nutritional education to support overall wellness. When requested, I am also happy to incorporate Christian faith-based principles into treatment while respecting each patient's beliefs, culture, values, and treatment preferences.
I treat a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma and PTSD, OCD, autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders, personality disorders, insomnia, grief, stress, substance use disorders, and other psychiatric concerns.
I understand that seeking help is a courageous step. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and supported. Together, we develop individualized treatment plans that promote healing, resilience, improved functioning, and long-term wellness.
My mission is to provide accessible, evidence-based psychiatric care while treating the whole person with compassion, dignity, respect, and hope.

My first refill with this practice wasn't sent after my appointment. When I followed up a week later, they promised to submit it and then didn't. I had to follow up a second time to finally get it sent.
Dr. Renee's response was worse than the failure. She got defensive, refused to acknowledge the office dropped the ball, and blamed her system as if that excused the problem. She also repeatedly interrupted me to characterize their failure as something other than that. Rather than take accountability, she seemed offended that I expected basic competence.
When I asked for referrals to end the relationship, she abruptly left the meeting. For something this fundamental to fail on a first refill, with a provider unwilling to own it, this isn't a practice I'd recommend.
