Dr. Katira graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo where she received her Bachelor of Science. She continued on there and later was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree. Her training continued with an internship in general surgery at Rush University Hospital, a residency in ophthalmology at Rush University Hospital, and a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery with The Retinal Group of Washington. While a resident at Rush University Hospital Dr. Katira was named Chief Resident.
Dr. Katira is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
