“I appreciate the urgency of my issue and getting me to a retina specialist after examining me. However, I was told to move my appointment from 1:40 to 11:40. I was not seen by the doctor until 12:35. I was asked to complete all of the pre paperwork again that I did online - photo of insurance card and drivers license and a few other papers. I appreciated the technician (male Latino) forget his name! He was awesome and made it a great experience. Again, I appreciate the doctor getting me an appointment with 20 minutes to another doctor who could determine the severity of my issues. He did not ignore my symptoms and got me to the right provider! For that, I am grateful. ”

About Dr. Peter Wawrzusin
Dr. Peter Wawrzusin is a seasoned Comprehensive Ophthalmologist renowned for his expertise in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, distinguishing himself by being elected as chief resident. Building on this foundation, he pursued a fellowship in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery and served as a clinical educator at Nassau University Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian Medical School.
A Maryland native, Dr. Wawrzusin's journey included impactful research at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, where he contributed to the development of high-resolution imaging systems. Graduating with honors from Georgetown University School of Medicine as an Alpha Omega Alpha inductee, his research spans both basic sciences and clinical applications, earning publication in esteemed medical journals. I do not want to go back to this place but I have a follow up in 6months to find out if I have cataract in my eyes.
It is my first time in this office, I spend over 2 and 1/2 hours in this place, glad I didn’t have to go to work. The med assistants are great cuz is a busy office but this particular doctor may be the problem. I ask one of the staff when is doc available for me?… I’ve been here now over 2hrs….when she returned to me to let me know that they are cleaning the room then I understood. Almost Every one that meet me in there left me there. I think my chart may have been at the wrong door or so. Anyway the doctor seems exhausted to me. The communication was not clear and he did not give me adequate information. He was rushing to go to the next patient so much that he forgot to give me the referral or tell me the glass prescription. I ask the front desk upon leaving if there was a referral that the doc gave for me. She said no so I had to wait again for her to find out.

Once I get out of the waiting room, I really appreciate this practice--not just Dr. Wawrzusin, but Allison and Daniel, two of the good people who assist him. However, three times in a row, I've had to wait more than half an hour to be seen.

Service was good! Got serviced on time,
The main issue I had with this visit is that no one told me that I will have blurry vision for a while or seeing clear. They did not offer me the temporary sun glass to help me see better.
I went out on the road driving for 10 miles and I can barely see the road, Thank god I made it safe.

Dr Wawrzusin has a wonderful staff and a very nice office. I was seen for a full vision exam and for an extensive medical exam of my eyes. Dr Wawrzusin was very obviously extremely hurried. While I was clear about my concerns, he never addressed a single one as he spent most of his few minutes with me trying to back toward the exam room door. I had to stop him to get actual answers. When I asked at the check out for my vision script, I was told that the doctor had not "finalized it" so it was not available. Also, he said he saw a stray eyelash and he took it out. I was the made to sign a form that he had performed a surgery! Never again! A waste of time!

I could tell that the doctor gets a lot of patients, because he had multiple examination rooms prepped. I was satisfied with his recommendations, and he was very professional. Didn't get much of a chance to ask follow-up questions though, because he was so busy. His assistant was able to answer my questions however, so all good.

Professional, and friendly healthcare/office experience. Higher caliber experience, but not stuffy at all. The clientele the day of my visit were business professionals, along with low-key vibe regulars. He recommended solutions to my chronic dry eyes problem that other doctors never provided. This was after fully listening to what I derived might have aided in the problem. So glad I did my research, and found him (through positive reviews on Google).

Do not recommend this provider.
Appointments are overbooked. I am now in their lobby along with 11 other people and they have 8 in the hall sitting in all places.
I am now 36 minutes past appointment time and I have not seen doctor yet. However did a lot of other “routine” stuff so that they can upsell me glasses or lenses.
They have electronic checkin process (what brings you in, pharmacy address, when did this start).
None of that information gets to the nurse so you have to repeat all that info.

The experience is mostly "test based" with various high tech equipment moving from a tech and office space and equipment, to another, it feels efficient and the techs are very matter of fact and you sense you are on a timer.... When you finally get to see the doctor it is fast, he gives you clear feedback based on the previous tests and his final assessment with another equipment. The Doctor is friendly, efficient and so is his staff.

Everything was great except it took over two hours from my appointment start time before I was seen by the doctor! I was on time for my appointment and everything. The when I asked what happened/if this type of wait was normal for this office, the medical assistant said that it is typical for there to be a lot of vision testing before the doctor sees the patient, but I didn’t need any of that testing because i was just going for a stye. She said that he had a few patients come in with emergencies that day as well, so maybe that contributed to them being so behind schedule.
