Dr. Mabey is the best doctor I have seen in 30 years. He knew exactly what was wrong, and took the steps necessary to fix me up. I can not tell you how easy he made me feel. I am very confident in his care and with his treatment. Thanks for this website and the information provided so I could find him. He is fantastic.

I appreciated the fact that Dr. Mabey consults with his patients in his office prior going to the exam room. Not many, if any, physicians follow this practice nowadays. Excellent bed side manner with a fabulous sense of humor.

More about Dr. Rex Mabey, MD, FACOG
Dr. Mabey was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He grew up in the small community of Rexburg, Idaho. Following his two year mission in Spain for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he attended college and graduated from Brigham Young University. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1985.
He completed his OB/GYN residency in Las Vegas at University of Nevada Affiliated Residency in 1989. During his fourth year, he served as the chief resident.
Upon completion of his residency, he became board certified and started his OB/GYN practice in Las Vegas.
In 2002, Dr. Mabey was elected to the Nevada State Assembly where he served for three terms. During his third term, he was elected by his fellow caucus members to serve as the minority leader.
It was while he was serving in Carson City as a Nevada State Assemblyman, that he decided to restrict his practice to gynecology. He decided to not seek re-election in 2007.
Dr. Mabey continues to practice gynecology. He also is a clinical investigator for clinical trials and has participated in many studies. He has published articles in professional journals and has presented at the annual meeting of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

I've never had a doctor who visited with me before the exam. He has a great sense of humor and made me feel at ease during this awkward gyno exam. I know I am in good hands when I go to his office. The other ladies at work go to him too.

Dr. Mabey is awesome (and so is his staff)! I can always ask him questions when I go in, and his staff is always willing to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment. Great Doctor.
