About Dr. Danka Michaels

Dr. Michaels was born and raised in Bratislava,Slovakia ( the eastern part of Czechoslovakia). She graduated from Comenius University Medical school in 1980 and completed residency in clinical biochemistry. She passed her specialty boards in 1984. After immigrating to the USA she worked in the private laboratories while studying for her American boards. She passed ECMFG and USMLE in 1992. Dr. Michaels successfully graduated from internal medicine residency in Reno NV in 1996. She worked for 2 years in a Southern California. In 1998 she moved to Las Vegas and joined Summit Medical group. She opened her private practice in 2003. Due to high demand for aesthetic services and poor quality of services at that time, she decided to open up a medical spa. Both practices are very successful and growing every year. In her private time – if she has any – in addition to spending time with her family, she loves to knit, crochet, weave, travel, attend chamber orchestra concerts, ballet or live theatre. She loves her 2 mini schnauzers Dolly and Max. Dr. Michaels started small charity for foster children “Fosterknits” few years ago. She will ask you for donation of any knitted, crochet, weaved or quilted items for foster children from age 0-18.
