Along with excellent training credentials and ten years of clinical experience, I offer a thoughtful, comprehensive assessment to discuss and weigh out the role that medications could play to support your process of change. My practice specializes in the medication management of adults (in particular women) with mood, anxiety and attentional disorders. I have special expertise in treating individuals who also have medical illnesses or who are pregnant/post-partum and in need of medication support as a component of their care.
My style is professional, empathic and approachable. Psychoeducation is at the core of my practice; you should understand and actively participate in your treatment. I also collaborate regularly with your therapist, and/or internist to discuss and plan your best, most effective treatment course. Each plan is highly individualized.
Not everyone needs medications. I make every attempt to streamline or reduce medications when possible, but help develop effective, safe regimens in cases when medications are truly necessary. I make appropriate referrals to wonderful and experienced therapists I know and trust. It is my goal to optimize your overall health.
PLEASE NOTE that after you book an appointment with me online, I will call you to speak with you directly about the appointment you have requested. My goal in this brief conversation is to ensure that you arrive at your first consultation familiar with me, my practice and its scope, confident that it is a good fit for your needs. I may also suggest information you can bring with you so that we make the best use of your time that day. Lastly, I can provide a better description of finding my office/parking.
