Rhonda Robinson, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan. Specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing of psychiatric medications for children, adolescents, and adults (across the lifespan). Areas of focus include; PTSD/trauma, anxiety disorders, ADHD, mood disorders (BPD, bipolar disorder, etc.), and depression disorders.
My approach
Cognitive behavioral therapy: enhances coping skills; Dialectic behavioral therapy: teaches people how to live in the moment, cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships; Solution-focused therapy (SFT) or solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) is a form of psychotherapy that helps clients achieve their own solutions to problems in a short time. Mindfulness techniques are examples of therapeutic interventions that many PMHNPs possess.
My focus
Specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing medications for children, adolescents, and adults. treating PTSD/trauma, anxiety disorders, ADHD, mood disorders and depression.

My journey to mental healthcare
I have been in the medical field for over 20 years. As a nurse, I have witnessed the gap in mental health services for both patients and family members. I believe that mental health also affects physical health and vice versa. I am driven by the need to meet people where they are while assisting in bridging the gap in care, by serving diverse patients in a variety of settings.
My goals for you
Identify what the patient wants to change, evaluate where they are in the process, encourage the patient to set a goal they guarantee they are going to keep, regardless of how minor it may appear
