Dr. Ahuja thoroughly examined my eyes in a way others doctors had not while I was experiencing exhaustive eye pain. Most importantly, he listened to me, displayed a genuine interest in my health and joy in my recovery. He was adamant about follow ups in a way that made me feel cared for and the staff was all incredibly personable and professional. Highly recommended.

Dr. Ahuja is without a doubt one of the most informative and caring doctors I’ve had the luxury of meeting. Not only does Dr. Ahuja have a great bedside manner and listen to all your concerns, but he is also able to answer your questions thoroughly and in laymen’s terms. He even took the time to explain the eye anatomy to me in detail so i could understand more about what was happening. He really made me feel at ease and in a matter of a few minutes I trusted him fully with everything he said and encouraged me to do. If you have eye issues please see Dr. Ahuja. Obviously I havenot encountered all ophthalmologists in Chicago but ylu Can rest assured that you’ll get amazing care with Dr. Ahuja that I think you may be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

Simply the best experience. Dr. Ahuja really genuinely cares. He explained every detail of my issue and thoroughly educated me on my issues and ophthalmology in general. He took his time and made sure I felt comfortable and understood everything he was doing and why he was doing it. He made sure I didn't have any other questions or issues. I felt heard and expertly cared for. Seriously, the best doctors appointment I've ever had.

The reviews I had read were all true. Dr Ahuja was super nice, thorough, and very informative about my problem. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering which ophthalmologist they should see. The receptionist (did not catch her name) was also friendly, organized, and even contacted me to confirm my appointment.

Doctor Richard Ahuja was exceptional. He was extremely kind and considerate and actually cared for my well-being. My treatment required very expensive eye drops but he was able to give me 2 samples bottles and a valuable coupon to help with the cost.
Overall, I couldn't recommend Dr Ahuja and his practice enough.

I have written reviews for Dr. Ahuja before but every time I see him I just want to rave some more. He is one of my favorite doctors in general and certainly my favorite specialist of all time for retinal concerns. He has excellent bedside manners, is very patient and clear with his explanations and in answering your questions, and he makes you feel like a real patient, not just a number. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Ahuja was the most pleasant Ophthalmologist I've seen so far. He was incredibly nice and caring and really listened to all my concerns. He really took time with me to explain how the eye works and what specifically was happening in my eye that was causing my symptoms. Would highly recommend.

Dr Richard was awesome! He was patient and listened to all of my questions at the beginnings, took notes and then answered them all at the end of the session!
He also noted that one of my questions was out of his medical field and recommended another specialist to look after it.
In general, I highly recommend Dr Richard for any issues related to your retina, and I plan to keep checking mine routinely at his office.
