About Dr. Joanna Slusky
Whether you're 3 or 103 years old, Dr. Joanna Slusky and her team are your advocates for optimal eye health and vision. After earning her bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Slusky opened Halsted Eye Boutique in 2008. She is a Medical Optometrist serving the Chicagoland area by providing extremely thorough and technologically advanced comprehensive eye care. She emphasizes the importance of annual exams and preventative care, is a contact lens specialist (including CRT Ortho-k), and a dry eye expert. She also treats eye emergencies such as pink eye, scratched corneas, and styes, as well as allergies, computer vision syndrome, myopia control, and keratoconus.
Sight is one of our most precious senses; therefore, your eye health is our priority. We check pressures without the puff of air and offer OPTOS—a quick, non-invasive picture of the inside of your eye that’s safe for all ages and lets you skip the dilation! This technology helps us with early detection of glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, and even cancer. Other new technologies include IPL, Blephex, LIPISCAN, LIPIFLOW, and TearCare dry eye therapy, as well as an EDGER to cut lenses for your glasses in one day.
