I was able to be seen on the same day for an emergency appointment. The doctor was attentive, listened to my concerns and collaborated with me on a plan of care. Wonderful experience!

Booked appointment for 8:30, he didn't even show up till 9:15, didn't get see until 9:45. Dr. Blake is a nice man, but managed to make me feel worse about my test results. But he knows his stuff, he's very direct, which is a positive. Nurses there are amazing, and desk staff is wonderful.

There is no doubt I will receive the best of care with Dr. Blake. My only regret is that I didn't come sooner.
Everyone who was working was professional, kind, accommodating and lovely. I would absolutely recommend them.

He was great ... I was very worried scared and nervous .... he helped put my mind at ease very happy I came
The Doctor was very educated well mannered person. However the staff was not very knowledge at all.
He was strange, insensitive and rude. His front office staff and medical assistant were great.

Dr. Blake is warm, profrssional and knowledgeable about women's health care needs!

He is very excellent and knowledgeable. Gives accurate advice upon first visit.

My appointment wasn't on their schedule, but they saw me anyway which was nice.
Really like Dr. Blake; very thorough and gives good advice for me to follow.
He is friendly, compassionate and knowledgable. I recommend him to friends.

the doctor seemed really efficient and the front desk staff was pleasant.

I think he is a good doctor and I will love to keep him as my doctor.

Muy cordial, me hizo buen examen, se mostró interesado en mi salud

Great experience, definitely going to continue to see Dr. Blake.

This doctor completely disregarded my efforts to improve my health and accused me of wrongdoing on our first meeting. His only recommendation was an extremely invasive and multi-day procedure for a simple female condition and I left crying.
Took his time to speak with my spouse and I.
I was seen right away even before my appointment time which it was a good thing. Ingrid medical assistant was very polite and attentive. There was also a male assistant who needs to learn how to greet patients first before collecting copay! Anyway, i didnt really feel a connection with the Dr, he seems very pleasant but base on my health complaint i was told to go to his other office which is kind of wierd? I was in and out in less than 10 minutes i guess doctor and I didnt have much to say or do.

I waited 30 minutes in the room. Once the doctor came in he was very short and impersonal. He asked me questions I had already answered, did an exam, and walked out. The front desk staff is not helpful either. I've waited almost 2 weeks for results when I was told they will call me in one week. No one called and when I call them there is either no answer or there's no one there that can speak to me about my results. TERRIBLE! I will never return and would not recommend anyone to this place.

Dr. Blake was very professional. I would say that he is not the most personable person, but he is very thorough. His staff is quite pleasant.
Verified patient
Dr. Blake seems kind of distant when you first meet him, but he really knows his stuff and is actually a very nice man who is genuinely concerned for his patients. I had an extremely rare condition found in only 1 in 70,000 women, and he diagnosed it almost right away and set me on the path to getting it fixed and performed the subsequent surgery. If you want someone who knows what they're doing and can really help you, this is the man to go to.
Lovely and kind guy, but sort of dry and dour. Bedside manner nothing to write home about, but I'd probably go back to him. Desk staff was great, very nice.

I am torn, because I liked Dr. Blake the first time, but perhaps he was having a bad day when I last saw him, but he was very abrupt with his office staff, who happen to all be women. And he treated them poorly directly in front of me. I did not appreciate that or people who treat their staff poorly. Just because you're the doctor, does not give you the right to demean your staff. Also, I do not like that some routine tests he requested were coded wrong, so he could get a more detailed report. Yes, more information is good, but not when it causes the insurance company to think of the tests as experimental. The office staff claims things will resolve themselves, but I don't know. I am honestly thinking of switching practices as soon as the insurance issues resolve themselves. I can't see myself disclosing every personal gynecological detail to Dr. Blake, and if you can't be 100% trusting and comfortable with your doctor, that's a sign you need to switch doctors.
This was my first annual physical/pap smear in over a year and I was a bit nervous and sensitive down there. To be honest, up until now, I had never been to a male gynecologist. I was pretty strict with my preference of female gynecologists. But Dr. Blake came highly recommended by other patient reviews and he also specialized in endocrinology, which was what I needed. He was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and told jokes to calm me down. The exam hurt a bit, but I don't think that had to do with him. I think I was just sensitive from not being examined in over a year. We discussed hormonal issues I was having and he was very thorough and seems to genuinely care about helping me with my problems. He wanted to know about my complete medical history, which I think went above and beyond for the new patient interview. I will keep him as my gynecologist. His office staff and nurses were also very nice.

The visit was fine was I got to see him. I do not recommend going to his Hyattsville location because you will most likely wait a very long time. He ordered a whole bunch of tests I never got the results for because the office itself is poorly managed.
Verified patient
When I walked in I greeted the receptionist, or whatever it is that she does there, she didn't even reply. She just looked and asked to sign the sheet. She even had an attitude when calling the patient's names. Very vulgar & unrepresentative of her job.
Verified patient
The wait was a long, but nothing longer than a doctor's visit these days. I really like the doctor. He was professional and humorous at the same time. He was very personable. I definitely am going to switch from my regular OBGYN office to this one.
He was good. Knew what he was doing. I almost walked away because of his staff members. They looked at me like an alien, maybe because I wasn't hispanic. It looks like most of their patients were Hispanic so they weren't used to a black lady. Dr. Blake is good. he asked a lot of questions and will be seeing him again. The wait time is another story, I waited for over 1hr before I saw the Doctor
Dr. Blake has been excellent thus far. He performed my recent surgery and I recovered without a hitch. I am thankful that I found him and looking forward to achieving my health goals with him leading the way. I have full confidence in him.
He was very thorough
Awful
It was nice. I plan to go back.

Really knowledgeable and kind!

The first visit was ok. The second was terrible. I waited for almost 2 hours and the staff was very rude. Once Dr. Blake noticed how upset I was, he didn't even apologize, he just walked away and went to the next patient.
Verified patient
I never saw him for my follow-up. He is affliated with multiple offices that do not communicate with each other and who do not take accountability for their actions. This is a reflection on the doctor as he is ultimately responsible for his staff. Needless to say, this is unacceptable and I will not be seeing this physician again and the offices in Takoma Park and Silver Spring are well aware of this! FYI zocdoc his Silver Spring office said I never made an appointment through you guys even though I showed them my confirmation, and tried to blame the Takoma Park office, which I made the office rep Oscar aware of this and the Silver Spring office denied they said that to me, after waiting an hour and 15 minutes when I was first to sign in, my appointment was at 130pm not 245, what do you think. I passed! And my insurance co was made aware of this buffoonery and lack of professionalism.
Verified patient
My appointment was terrible. I arrived and the waiting room was completely full of people with no chairs left. The front desk woman was inefficient and more concerned about the child she had sitting with her. The examining room was dirty and cold. Dr. Blake was rude, unprofessional and didn't seem to know what he was doing. He asked ME what the difference between Beyaz and Yaz was - I don't know, you're the ob-gyn! I will never go back and do not understand the positive ratings here - this is the first time ZocDoc has let me down.
Dr. Blake seems to be wonderful, his office staff is very unorganized and appointment time seems to not matter, I waited over an hour until I saw the doctor. It took me over 30 minutes just to get the attention of the front desk girls. Seems like the front desk people don't get there till 9 am (all 3 of them) and yet they accept appointments as early as 8:15.
Dr. Blake was awesome! The wait was long but it was well worth it. I had done my research before hand so I came prepared but he walked me through my entire cycle and most importantly listened to what i had to say and didn't try to push unnecessary medication on me. Would see him again :)

Waited for more than 2 hrs!!! He's a very nice, thorough doctor though. The waiting room was standing room only in Takoma Park!
The very long wait was WELL worth meeting w Dr. Blake. Very kind, takes his time on clearly explaining everything. Nurses all extremely nice. Highly recommend!!
Dr. Blake is thorough, candid and is easy to communicate with plainly. The staff is kind and professional. Even though the wait time was long, the experience there was great.
He was informative with a great sense of human

This was my first time seeing Dr. Blake. I was seen pretty close to my appointment time, which was a refreshing change. My time with the doctor was informative though short. He was clear and concise and provided me with everything I needed. His staff was also friendly and accommodating. I would recommend his office.

It was a good visit

Well, I have mixed feelings about my visit today. When I arrived for my 2:00 appointment, (maybe 20mins before it started); I was informed that the office was closed for lunch until 2pm. Ok that was No problem! When I finally came in, the female assistant at the desk was very nice and provided the information I needed to complete. I sat for 15mins then was informed that I had a copayment which had to be paid today. I had no issue with the copayment, but wish I would have known prior to my arrival. I was not prepared, as I had been dropped off, left my money and wallet in my car. Had I known before I got there, it would have been more convenient for me. Finally once i was able to transfer money to my credit card via phone..I was approached in a very rude demeanor by a nurse. She said I had "only 10mins to get the copayment, as they are trying to be patient!" I didnt like how I was approached by the nurse, maybe uf she had worded her statement better, it would not seem as bad. The nurse saw that I was on the phone trying to get the payment as quickly as I possibly could. Nonetheless, my overall visit was nice! The doctor was friendly and even the rude nurse ended up being very kind, by the end of my visit!!! I would suggest the office!!!! I'll be returning in 2weeks!!
He did not have the personality or compassion that a doctor should have that makes a patient feel comfortable...it was a bad experience!
Dr Blake was very professional
Verified patient
I thought he was very nice, gave important details during the exam and displayed genuine concern during the routine examination.
