Dr. Richard Shepard has been providing medical services to Manhattan's Upper West Side community for over 20 years.
Our practice is centered on the provision of well care, but is not limited to just that. We also offer the evaluation and management of medical conditions, such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Heart Disease, Arthritis, Allergies, and Respiratory Infections. In addition, we evaluate and treat uncomplicated dermatological, orthopedic, allergic, and mental health conditions.

I am beyond satisfied that I went on ZocDoc and found Dr. Shepard. Today was my first visit and I felt like I've known him for years. He made it very comfortable to speak to him and was extremely approachable. He didn't rush me... asked about my medical history and my parents history. He listened to everything I said an addressed my concerns. What an amazing doctor... it is so difficult to find a doctor who actually cares for and wants to know who their patient is rather than just collect money.

Dr. Richard is highly unprofessional and has terrible bad manners.
He lost my tests, charged me twice for the same service, and was extremely rude. He told me that I am wasting his time after I showed an unhappy expression that he lost all the documents I left with him and that he lost my tests. I will never go back to him and I do not recommend anyone to do this as well!! It was just terrible!!

Dr. Richard Shepard has been my primary care physician for close to 30 years. Dr. Shepard's professionalism and bedside manner is outstanding. He has always explained every diagnosis and test result in clear, great detail. He is ready to answer any questions and allay any concerns I may have. In the event I need to see a specialist, Dr. Shepard's recommendations have been equally outstanding. Dr. Shepard confers with any specialist on their findings, so my health is well and full supervise. Dr. Shepard has convenient office hours. It is easy to make an appointment. Waiting time is kept to a minimum. It is a hallmark of Dr. Shepard's practice that his nursing and administrative staff show the same level of care and professionalism as the Physician. Dr. Shepard is an exemplary health care professional. I recommend him without reservation.
