Dr. Richard Thrasher seeks out and thrives on leading-edge medical technologies. Among the first in the country to utilize balloon sinuplasty and among the first ENTs in North Texas to be certified on the DaVinci Robot, he advances his practice and the health of his patients through pioneering and breakthrough procedures. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and brings each patient a distinctive blend of brilliant surgical acumen and a ready smile. He is a frequent lecturer at industry events and is the Chief of Surgery at the new Baylor Medical Center of McKinney. He has authored several publications and been featured on NBC news and in local magazines. A resident of McKinney, he is the father of two and devoted to his family and community. He plays several sports poorly, enjoys photography, and is a self-proclaimed technology geek who covets anything with a microchip in it.

The reason why I gave this practice a two-star rating is that the last time that I attempted to be treated by him is they inconsideration and late policy intolerance. Despite having called them nearly 90 minutes beforehand (from Burleson, TX) to notify them that I would be late; they waited until I was 5 minutes from their practice to cancel the appointment last minute.
I fully understand that they were adhering to a late policy, but had they known that they would cancel on me last minute, they should have told me immediately following my notifying them before leaving my house.
This meant that despite having driven 71.7 miles, they, again, waited until I was less than five minutes away to cancel on me. Therefore, they successfully wasted my time to where I had known that they would cancel on me, I wouldn't have even left my house.
This is unacceptable, inconsiderate, and unprofessional.
In other words, if you choose to pick this practice, bear in mind that they will cancel last minute if you're even seven minutes late. (Would not recommend)
However, the first time that I met him was a pleasurable experience. Too bad this sullied my opinion of him.

On Time!!!!! I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival. After my hearing was checked it took only a couple of minutes before the doctor saw me. He explained everything in terms that I could understand. Best doctor I have seen in a long time.

Dr. Thrasher has done both Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy for my 6 year old daughter. He is an excels ant physician and he knows how to talk to kids. His staff are really knowledgable and cooperative.

Webster's Dictionary doesn't have enough awesome words to describe Dr. Thrasher. He did a thorough exam, explained everything about my condition, displayed sincere, genuine concern and interest and NEVER one time did he look at his watch! I felt like a real patient, not just a number on a time frame. My husband and I left with reassurance that Dr. Thrasher would help improve my quality of life and continue to help me as time goes on.
