As a psychiatrist, I have a deep passion for caring for the mental health of individuals and families. My profession offers me the gratifying experience of understanding human beings and assisting in making their lives content and peaceful. My life journey through two different continents have offered me an enriching experience of cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity that allow me to empathize with people from a broad array of backgrounds.
I completed my adult psychiatry training at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. Before residency, I acquired a variety of clinical experiences training at various NYC hospitals and worked in clinical research at prestigious academic institutions like Yale University and New York University in order to cultivate cutting edge knowledge of diagnostics and therapeutic aspects of psychiatric illnesses. I aim to apply these skills and wisdom to decrease suffering and enhance psychological wellbeing of my patients and their families.
I am licensed in NY and GA, hence accepting patients in both states.
I believe in working collaboratively with patients. I will offer diagnostic education and clarification, and educate you about treatment options. I will guide you to make a well-informed treatment plan and empower you in your journey of mental wellbeing. My approach is patient-centered, and I incorporate holistic principles. As a psychiatrist, I am trained to prescribe medications and perform therapy with my patients. However, I equally value other modalities of wellbeing including spirituality, exercise, meditation, diet, and lifestyle modification.
