Wait time was long - 45 minutes, and then a different doctor showed up. I insisted to see Doctor Fink, and eventually I was seen by Doctor Fink. Zocdoc usually tells me that I could be seen by other doctors when making reservations, but in this case I was not notified. I am not discounting the rate due to this issue since I am not sure if this is zocdoc's mistake or the doctor's.
Very long wait past appointment time. Visit was good but it was very frustrating to wait that long. Also had trouble taking credit card so had to pay cash which was inconvenient.

More about Dr. Robert Fink, MD

Dr. Robert James Fink of Gold Coast Orthopedic Spine and Hand Surgery specializes in Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Spine, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Hip, Knee, Ankle and foot. Any procedures on these parts of the body are done arthroscopically with small puncture wounds requiring a few stitches or a band-aid. Dr Robert Fink has been an orthopedic surgeon for over 30 years and is only one of 3 doctors in Chicago, IL performing minimally invasive spine surgery procedures. Non invasive back surgery is also called band-aid back surgery, due to the fact that patients leave with only a band-aid or one stitch after the procedure is completed. Dr Fink’s non invasive surgery procedures are performed to take out herniated, bulging, extruding, & extruded discs, treat fractures in back, perform sacroiliac iliac joint fusion, and also remove bone from neural foraminal narrowing. These procedures are done in an outpatient surgical setting. There is no destabilization of your spine by detaching spine muscles with a cut, unlike like traditional open back surgery where patients must be hospitalized after having substantial cuts into their back. Most surgeries are done at Lakeshore Surgery Center. Dr. Fink is willing to see patients that have been injured in any type of personal injury case that involves orthopedic, hand or spine surgery. He will evaluate the patient and try to use conservative care if he feels he can get them better or he will complete surgery if it is required. Dr. Fink completed his undergraduate degree at Loyola University Chicago. He then continued his education at Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland where he completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery.

I had a pleasant experience, the entire staff is awesome
Doctor was excellent, knowledgeable & very detailed.
He took a long time to come see me hardly examplained me too X-rays and gave me pain meds I told him don't work for me. Told me to go get an MRI not very good beside manner very crowed as if he was over booked. Very disappointed in my experience there will not be returning for follow up will find another doctor to fix the problem. He gave no solutions to help in the mean time. And still prescribe meds that I told him don't work for me. Horrible horrible experience. Was in the back room waiting for 40 mins just for an X-ray and 30 mins to see the doctor

The doctor didn't perform any inspection and sent me directly to get an xray, even though I had showed up to the clinic with a comprehensive MRI. Then he ignored the xray, and quoted the MRI report to me and performed no further investigation. Then he suggested shooting me up with some anti-inflammatory medicine and prescribe high-dose ibuprofen. No mention of the xray whatsoever. I didn't learn anything about my condition beyond what I already knew from reading my MRI report. Finally, when I requested the nursing staff to give me the copy of my xray, they told me that the machine was broken and they had nothing to share. What?! I am never going back to this doctor ever.
Very long wait past appointment time. Visit was good but it was very frustrating to wait that long. Also had trouble taking credit card so had to pay cash which was inconvenient.
The wait was unusually long, it took me over an hour and half past my scheduled appointment time to see him. However once I got to see him, he was extremely knowledgeable about my issues (shin splints/lower leg pain) and took the time to answer all of my questions and listen to everything I had to say. Worth the long wait, but the long wait was unfortunate.
