I went to this doctor from April 2018-November 2018. I liked him initially because he seemed really sweet- my old obgyn was very rude and made me uncomfortable so I had no good experience to compare to. He tends to talk to you like you are a child. I wanted help finding the best birth control for me given I have a chronic illness and didnt want anything to interfere with that. We came to the conclusion to get the depo provera shot which he did not tell me reduced the effect of one of my medications for my chronic illness by 50% which in turn created a nightmare for my health for 3 months! My new obgyn right off the bat told me that birth control affects this medication in this way. He also didnt warn me that this birth control may cause breakthrough bleeding leaving me on my period for 4 months. When I came in to ask about this he said “you’re not actually on your period just lightly bleeding.” As a man he has know idea how awful it is to be “lightly bleeding” for four months straight. He didnt even care. The absolute WORSE part about this man and my experience is that I was raped and when I told him he literally said, “They must of really liked you. It’s a compliment.” What an absolute horrible person. On top of it I had experienced awful pain with sex and asked him about it and instead of doing an ultrasound or ordering an MRI he told me everything “looked fine from what he can see” and that I just needed to deal with it like it was all in my head. Finally, my new obgyn ordered an MRI. I would have lived my life in pain with no solution if it were for this man. Stay away!

This is what I experienced: Dr. Pushkin does not have a receptionist. So the woman who is the the front doesn’t greet you right away. When she does she rudely said, I don’t work for him, fill this out. He came into my room after I was naked asking me to fill out paperwork. I was upset at being kept waiting for 30...I could have done the paperwork then. Who comes into your room after you have undressed and asks you to fill out paperwork? The whole situation was very bizarre. Then he asked me if I wanted him to bring me the paperwork. Naw, I’ll go get it naked...really? Then he said he was sorry. But I suspect he doesn’t care. Bottom line Dr. Pushkin is old school (no computers) who would probably have retired if he liked being at home. I get the feeling he works for something to do. Just because I didn’t get along w Dr. Pushkin doesn’t mean you won’t. If you go to Culver City be prepared to be ignored and wait for a half hour just to be told you have paperwork to fill out. Totally frustrating. Dr. Pushkin’s office stole and hour of my life that I will never get back.

Love this man. This was my first time going to a male Gyn, and it was one of the best appointments I've had. Kind, caring, he even helped me down from the exam table. What a true gent. Did I mention that I didn't have to wait at all? Yeah. 5 stars.

He definitely has a different (and refreshing) approach. His experience is undeniable and I like that he proposes/thinks outside the imminent problem. It was only my first visit, so it's hard to say more than this at this point, but I'm very happy with the outcome of today.

Dr. Pushkin was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. He wasn't pushy and didn't try to hurry me out of the office. I was able to ask all of the questions that I wanted and it was decided that I needed another appointment immediately. He worked with my schedule to make sure that I was seen as soon as possible in relation to my travel schedule.
