Dr. McCulloch was very professional and took the time to explain the difference between PRK and LASIK. The surgery took about 20 seconds per eye (PRK) and was pretty successful (20/20 in left eye, 20/15 in right). He uses the latest laser technology for his procedures which was a huge factor in me deciding to go to him for the procedure. I would recommend Dr. McCulloch to anyone considering LASIK/PRK.

Their office is very efficient...smooth transition from one area to another. And, saw the doctor right after my preliminary exams were done. He is very nice and would definitely recommend him/his office.

Dr. Robert R. McCulloch is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the Senior Cataract Surgeon with Horizon Eye Specialist & Lasik Center, having performed over 10,000 Lasik, and refractive treatments, as well as 20,000 cataract or corneal transplant procedures. As a specialist in refractive surgery, he also serves as Medical Director for our Lasik Center.
Dr. McCulloch is a native of Phoenix. He is an active member in several medical societies including the American Medical Association, the Association for Research, Vision in Ophthalmology and the Association of Microbiology and Immunology Group.
Dr. McCulloch is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After serving an internship at Creighton, Dr. McCulloch completed an Ophthalmology Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also completed a Fellowship in corneal and external disease at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. McCulloch has practiced in the Phoenix/Scottsdale metro area for over twenty years.

He was definitely rushed (overbooked) but was still comforting and direct. Loved the office staff. Very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I will be pursuing my elective eye surgery with this team.

He is a great doctor, I had lasik in 2003 and thought I needed a touch up to one eye. Turns out that I didn't, so will be back when my eyes get worse.

He kept the door open during the visit. He seemed very rushed and rushed through my exam. I didn't leave feeling very confident in his knowledge base or skills. I wouldn't feel comfortable with him doing surgery on my eyes.

The technicians were very professional as was Dr.McCullochT the only disappointment was the long waiting time both before seeing the doctor as well as all the time just sitting in various rooms waiting to be checked. As efficient as all the ZOCDOC reminders are, I thought that time management would have been better.

My appointment was for 10 AM. The doctor saw me at 11:20 AM. He sped thru the diagnosis, referring me to a specialist. His bedside manner made me nervous, as he did not seem calm, after detecting my problem. He did not explain the problem, but had his staff write it down for me. He seemed rushed.
