I paid for this visit out of pocket. I am not allowed to include pricing specifics in this review but the cost was extremely reasonable. We discussed the reasons for my immediate visit and he made sure all my questions were answered. He then pivoted and addressed my wellness as a whole (based on my physical exam) and the steps I could take that would favorably impact my overall health and avoid issues in the future. I was very pleased with my visit with Dr. Taylor. I feel he's a throwback to that bygone era when physicians had sufficient time to listen and/or establish a rapport with their patients. I highly recommend him.

Hello. Let me introduce myself to you. I have a private medical office in Brookline, Massachusetts and I work by myself. It is a primary care practice where I see patients for physical exams and for common medical problems. I alschave an expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. I will gladly see you virtually as I am limiting my hours in my office due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
I graduated from Harvard Medical School and I was an intern at the Boston VA Medical Center and resident at the Cambridge Hospital. I completed a fellowship at the Harvard AIDS Institute in Boston and I also received a Masters Degree (MPH) at the Harvard School of Public Health.
I am also the Director of the Health Awareness Connection. This is a non-profit organization that I founded to promote health education in AIDS and STD prevention. I have taught thousands of classes in the Boston metropolitan area since 1993 and I have also taught in many countries in Africa, Asia and South America.
A side job for me is I have been the "Rock Doc" in Boston for the last thirty years. You can read a bit about my exploits here.

In summary, I would say that this was not a good fit for me. For a first time visit, I am used to answering extensive questions about my medical history & my families medical info, and filling out forms, but none of this happened. He asked many personal questions, but I'd prefer if he asked as many medical questions as he did personal. As well, I am not comfortable with paying businesses via Venmo (which is what he requested), and felt it was unprofessional. It was nice that I didn't have to wait to be seen and the appointment was fast, but I need a bit more professional setting.

Dr. Bob the Rock-Doc Taylor is so fun, courteous, and professional yet friendly. I had my first annual physical in my grown up life and I felt safe, cared-for, and heard. I walked into his office a little nervous, but I walked out head high and a bit smarter.

Today is the New Year eve and Thank god he was the only one available in my area. I am a student so I can not afford an Emergency room. He is very friendly and helpful. He asked about everything in details which showed his wisdom taking decisions. He also have the option to contact him by a call or a message for emergency. I was feeling sad that I will be not able to get well fast to see the New Year fireworks but I am way better after my visit. Thank you Dr.Taylor!

Doctor Bob was great and very approachable! He helped me deal with my issues immediately and was extremely nice about everything. I would absolutely recommend him to a friend. He is definitely more "old school" as people have mentioned, but I liked that much more than a typical doctor's visit (for example, he has a microscope in his office that he used during the visit to immediately help answer questions). He's also very easy to communicate with and answered my phone calls right away.

Very pleasant experience. Compare with my past 20 years experience to see my PCP they don't even listen to me or look at my eyes to talk. Those young doctor just stare at monitor to see the test result and decide what to do.
Dr. Robert Taylor obviously understand how things going and right to the point and no unnecessary steps.
I like the way he treat me.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Taylor after reading several reviews and receiving a recommendation of a close friend who sees him for ADHD medication. I am new to the Boston area and have been looking for a primary care physician with whom I can form a close relationship, and who will prescribe the medication I have been on for several years. Prior to our appointment- I detailed a comprehensive introduction on ZocDoc regarding my Adderall dosage, and also the importance in forming a close relationship with my PCP. After a 45 minute wait and 30 minute conversation, Dr. Taylor informed me that he does not prescribe any controlled substances. I felt a bit slighted- as my friend had recommended him for ADHD related purposes. I also felt that my time was wasted... as I had specifically mentioned my medical needs prior to our consultation.. Dr. Taylor is a very nice person, but if you are seeking standard medical care... look elsewhere.
