Ronald Koe, M.D., was raised in Woodland Hills , California . He graduated from the University of California , San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry and cell biology. After leaving the sunny beaches of Del Mar, he attended Creighton University in Omaha , Nebraska and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1990. He graduated in the top one-quarter of his medical school class receiving honors in surgery. From there he completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Louis University in Missouri .
Dr. Koe has been in private practice in Henderson , Nevada area since 1997. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has membership in many medical organizations including the American Medical Association, the Nevada State Medical Association, and the Clark County Medical Society.
Dr. Koe is a general orthopedic surgeon with special interests in sports medicine and arthroscopic, minimally invasive, surgery. His main area of treatment concerns are disorders and injuries of the shoulder and knee. He regularly attends continuing education courses to bring his patients the most up-to-date treatment modalities. He interviews, examines, and discusses treatment one-on-one with every patient.He is the team physician for the Foothill High School Falcons.
Dr. Koe lives in Green Valley Ranch with his beautiful wife and four children. Although the overwhelming majority of his time is devoted to work and family, he still manages to engage in American taekwondo, hunting, fishing, and an occasional round of golf or tennis.

It was my first visit. His staff was friendly and efficient. I got there early and was taken to an exam room by my appointment time. He has an X-Ray machine in his office, so they took X-Rays and I was seen my the doctor with 10 minutes. Dr. Aloe examined my knee and gave me a preliminary diagnosis. I still need to get an MRI, but he has that available in his office also. Overall, I feel confident I have selected the right ortho doc. He was recommended by a neighbor that has used him several times as well.

It was my first appt, so I cannot make a thorough evaluation of Dr. Koe yet until I get a complete picture of his diagnosis and recommended treatments, but he seems like a great doctor. His office runs well. I interacted with 4 other people plus the doctor and everyone was very professional. Dr. Koe seems competent and efficient. I appreciate that he is not mostly reliant on prescribing painkillers, and that he wants to make sure he has the right diagnosis.

Professional and personable. Listened to what I had to say about my issue and then gave me his diagnosis after reviewing my x-rays and evaluating me. He did not rush me in and out of my appt. An MRI is in my future and there is one at his office which makes it very convenient.

He was a busy man, and made sure I understood what the problem could be. Even though he ex-rayed my shoulder he wants an mri to determine the actual cause of my pain. Very nice, easy to talk to and efficient staff.

Dr. Koe has an excellent bedside manner. He is also very thorough and very careful in his examination. I was having problems with my knee, and Dr. Koe took a sample of fluid from the knee and sent it for testing. My appointment was on Thursday. Dr. Koe received the results of the test on Monday morning. By 11:00 a.m., he had scheduled an emergency surgery for me for that day and contacted me to discuss my condition. Had Dr. Koe not caught the infection, it likely would have spread to sepsis. I visited my GP two weeks earlier about my knee problems. My GP also took a sample of fluid from the knee, but the GP did not have it tested. Dr. Koe saved my life and my leg. I am very grateful for his kindness, professionalism, and generosity with his time.

I highly recommend Dr. Koe, I had seen 6 different ortho surgeons before my friend recommended Dr. Joe. On my first visit, he took time and really listened to my concerns. I never felt rushed and his staff is just as caring as he is. He diagnosed my problems and corrected them surgically. I truely believe I am walking today because of him. I can't thank Dr. Koe and his staff enough.
