I went to this doctor just ONCE to get a routine check - up done in July 2013. And I am NEVER going there again and would NOT recommend anyone going there.
Ever since my visit in 2013 and until yesterday 09/05/2014, the visit continued to HAUNT my life.
The reason? The worst and most inefficient receptionist and probably an inefficient billing department that GOT ME SUED in court.
I went for a routine checkup on 7/20/2013 and provided all my insurance details to the lady at the front desk. Then I saw the doctor, provided blood and urine samples and went home. No payment was collected from me as my insurance (United Healthcare) covered all costs.
2-3 days later I went and collected my report and everything was normal so I went home.
Flash forward to Feb 2014, I receive a bill in the mail from a medical lab that I had never heard of before called 'Accu Reference Lab'. The mail read 'Final Notice' and it had a bill for around $600.
I called them up immediately and asked them what this was about and they pointed out that they hadn't received any Insurance information from the doctor. I asked them how that was my fault, and they said, send the bill to your insurance provider and see if they process the claim. I obliged and sent out the bill to United Healthcare by FedEx express.
I also called the doctor at this point and the receptionist checked my
patient record and told me that I should not be charged by the lab because my insurance covered everything.
United Healthcare denied the claim as it wasn't filed on time and clearly mentioned in the Claims Summary that I did not owe the provider any money since the lab was in network. The summary also noted that if Accu Reference had any proof that they did try to reach out to me, then they can furnish the proof with United Healthcare and United Healthcare would reprocess the claim. If they could not do that, they would have to write off the claim as per policy.
Accu Reference Lab, instead of obliging by the insurance company's request, went ahead and sued me for the money in court.
When I contacted the doctor this time and put the receptionist in conference with the lab's billing department, the receptionist started making up stories that I had somehow failed to provide my Insurance information. She also refused to put me on call with the doctor and was extremely rude in her manner.
When I verified with United Healthcare, I found out that Dr. Rory had already filed for his part of the claim back on 8/12/2013. In fact his practice (MD Emergent Care) had made multiple duplicate claims which were denied and finally the valid ones were paid out by the Insurance Company.
So the doctor's office was willing to lie to get out of owing the lab $600 due to mistakes committed by them but we're happy to sit back and make me the scapegoat.
I was determined to go to court for the hearing which was set for 9/12/2014 as I knew I had done my due diligence and had enough documentation with me to prove to the judge that I had done my due diligence.
But, Accu Reference, who by now knew that they didn't have much of a case, started calling me up trying to get an out of court settlement done. After several negotiations, they settled with me for $200 and withdrew the case. I paid them just to get out of the inconvenience of having to miss work in order to attend court.
So, I ended up spending around $230 bucks ($30 for the FedEx express postage) when I owed nobody anything. And the worst part was all the phone calls I had to make to m
Insurance Company, to Accu Reference Lab and to the Doctor's office during working hours that led to a huge frustration.
The staff that this doctor has surrounded himself with is not only inefficient but EXTREMELY unprofessional and ill-mannered.
I was happier and healthier before I visited this doctor. More than a year since and I'm still regretting choosing him on ZocDoc.
I would NEVER go back to this doctor and wouldn't recommend this doctor's office to anyone.

Great team! Doctor's visits are the worst. I went in there with nothing but negative expectations and they certainly changed my idea of what visiting a doctor should be like. Highly Recommend...

I enjoyed the visit. The clinic was very clean he was very professional. It was my first visit in a year and I went for a checkup. He was very nice and gentle to my needs he asked a lot of questions to get in depth of how I was feeling and gave a bunch of suggestions. He was very humorful which I was off ease and he definitely wanted to make sure everything was ok with me during my check up

Dr. Rory has an excellent way about communicating how he was going to treat my immediate needs, as well as providing advice on how I can improve my overall health.

Everyone was pleasant. The doctor is very compassionate and listened to me like a therapist would. He had very good suggestions and reassured me that I was going to be ok (im a hypochondriac) There is a parking lot for patients. It's right around the corner from my house. Although one of the techs is clearly new drawing blood, she was adorable and made me less nervous (ironically) about getting poked because of her sweet demeanor. I will go here again and again.

Doctor Ulloque was amazing! As was his nursing staff! Very knowledgeable and thorough. I've had issues with my tonsils or years and they're the first group to even recommend treatments rather than just giving me a prescription and sending me off. The staff was extremely courteous. The facility was clean and the equipment was state if the art. Bonus: off-street parking. I definitely recommend visiting if you are in need of a primary care physician.
