What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
For me, being a nurse practitioner encompasses an honorable life, devoted to serving people. The ability to care for a person, build therapeutic human relationships and make a difference in someone's life inspires me and makes me passionate to live my philosophy of providing safe, evidenced-based and knowledge-driven quality care to everyone.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
In my opinion, the role of a primary care provider is to build a therapeutic friendly relationship with patients and provide care and compassion on a level that will encourage all patients to take their health and well-being into their own hands. The key objective for this is to collaborate, consult and coordinate patient care for health promotion and disease prevention and to treat patient as a whole.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to spend time with my family, whether it is to watch Netflix with my husband or to play with my son. Sometimes when I get some time to myself, I love to dance and read spiritual books.
