Dr. Thakkar is such a man's-man doctor.
I chose him because of his education and that he is young. I thought I'd feel more comfortable with a similarly aged doctor... and thankfully Dr. Thakkar turned out to be great overall.
He listens and asks questions. Doesn't make me feel rushed or like i'm just another appointment.
He relates to me as a person, and we can just talk man-to-man and keep the comfort level to the max.
He is very professional, and up to date.
He is a proper doctor.. not just one who wants to write you a prescription or max out your insurance (like I see other doctors do).

The reason for my visit was an issue that (while isn't uncommon) many people still feel awkward talking about. But Dr. Thakkar was perfectly professional, as well as all the staff I interacted with. He was direct, respectful, and made me feel at ease. I have no complaints

Dr. Thakkar completed his bachelor’s degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago followed by a medical education from Nova Southeastern University at Fort Lauderdale where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine diploma. He then returned to Chicago suburbs where he completed his Family Medicine residency at the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. During residency, Dr. Thakkar worked at various local Urgent Care centers to gain more experience and develop a passion for Urgent Care Medicine . He joins EPIC Urgent & Family Care clinic to continue his strong commitment in the field of Urgent Care medicine and also to provide continuity of care for patients with chronic medical conditions.
In his spare time, Dr. Thakkar enjoys traveling, reading and music. Dr. Thakkar is available at EPIC Urgent and Family care clinic for walk-in medical care as well as by appointment.

No muss - no fuss.
