About Dr. David Schwartz
Schwartz Pediatrics has been providing outstanding care to the community for over thirty years. We pride ourselves on same-day sick visits. Our motto is: "We will always make time for sick children." We make every effort to schedule appointments for sick children on the day that parents call us.
Dr. Dave joined the practice in 1988. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. To this day, he remains energetic, vibrant, and passionate about pediatrics and loves his weekly teaching sessions with medical students.
Dr. Dave is an avid supporter of breastfeeding and belongs to many different insurance plans. He sees patients starting as newborns and continues their care over many years until they graduate from high school. Along the way, Dr. Dave handles a wide variety of medical problems ranging literally from A to Z. In addition, he helps families deal with behavioral questions, school difficulties, and psychological issues.
The office staff is excellent in assisting with patient care. They are well trained in all phases, ranging from vaccine administration and blood drawing to insurance questions and referrals. They are fluent in Spanish.

I was turned off by staff right of the bat when I was trying to book an appointment. If you are working parent there is no way you can make an appointment because of the office hours. The staff did not care when I said “ I guess I’ll have to find different doctors office” the front desk female just said “ okay let us know if you want us to send back the medical records”.
I’m glad I held my breath, took a day off, And I took my child to see the doctor because the doctor is phenomenal and he cares about his little patients and listens to parents.
