Dr. Cotter moved frequently throughout the country as a child of a military officer, ultimately winding up in St. Louis where he earned a bachelor's degree with a double major in Biology and German from Washington University. Following this, he received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He then moved to Colorado and completed both his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. Cotter has always loved science and physiology and wanted to have a career where he could apply this knowledge to directly help people. As a cardiologist, Dr. Cotter enjoys integrating emerging technologies and ever-evolving studies to provide optimal patient care. He is passionate about the full spectrum of cardiovascular diseases and incorporating lifestyle modifications, such as diet and exercise, as a crucial component of keeping you healthy. When he is not at work, Dr. Cotter enjoys skiing, running, golf, and spending time with his family.
